I would say the same thing about Kirkland too. Maybe in a year and a half he'll be ready

Me thinks Unble Bob best be careful. Pavlik does not seem like a guy who will be content to beat up on a string of meaningless mandatories, and WE KNOW Bhop would welcome him into the Golden Boy fold with open arms.

I'm just taking his word for it, he said its been tough making 160. I dont see why he would have to lie about training camp situatuions. & dont even get me started on AA & that blown up mofo!

No -- not at all. I'm talking about someone who might make AA look good on a Pavlik undercard. Is Kirkland to easy? That's my real question. Sorry I didn't articulate it better.

HBO can make anybody sound good if they want. It is called advertising and that is their business.

Actually, once Pavlik got the title, he was more motivated and works even harder. Weight is actually seems to becoming less of an issue for him.

I dont even like 168, its a bunch of B, C & D level fighters, but its got more going on than 160. 160 has the better prospects, but the top dogs at 168 are deeper than 160.

160 has Pavlik, AA, Sturm(who is afraid to fight), Paul Williams(who really cant be mentioned at 160) & Wright(who has been MIA for ages)

Came on... you think Golden Boy would put Kirkland to that risk? The reason AA hasn't had his HBO WCB debut is the lack of American/HBO fighter WILLING to fight AA. But HBO was still interested in staging the superfight, without the buildup... And AA has already made his US debut, no need for another one... What I see is HBO saying: 'well, we can have Pavlik-Williams instead', which is cool, but we all know it is cleary the ducking of AA if Team Pavlik goes that way, because AA will move up, and they know that. He made his debut when they said he's unknown in the US. He's ready to face anyone again, especially Kelly. But what can he do if they don't want to fight him?

AA has already made it known that he wants Pavlik & that he wants to/is willing to come to America to fight. He just tried to unify with Sturm, but Sturm ducked him, AGAIN. What more can he say/do?

I think Pavlik could use a couple of confidence building fights first. AA is a dangerous fight for him no matter what the circumstances, and he could use all the help he can get. Those powerful looping shots of AA are gonna be a constant threat all night long.
