5 times less the population, but America doesn't have midgets like you buck tooth brits. Why don't you count the world champs from lightweight?

And you know what's crazy, you probably think Broner held Porter more than brook LMFAO.

I'm not sure if it's a WBA rule, but I know in the IBF they generally don't let you take a title fight coming off a loss. Matthews is ranked #1 for them, and I believe the WBA get 3% of the fighters purses.

3% of Crolla-Mathews III >>> 3% of Perez- Crolla III

Their next best hope is Oscar Rivas, or Eleider Alvarez.

Some of their prospect/contenders we just flat out know already won't make it. (Sam Vargas - too flawed and easy to psyche out and force to rumble to his detriment, Silgado - too chinny, Brand - too old, Prescott - too easy to outbox, etc.)

A few are on the bubble, like Marriaga and Escandon. I suppose they could pick up belts in the right situation. (esp. in the case of a vacant or interim belt versus a weak but highly-ranked-within-some-org opponent)

For the average bloke, sure, but a rematch clause for the prior champ to avenge the loss is a fairly common thing.

Even if not a specific clause per se in the negotiations, he isn't just "some guy" coming off a loss. He's the guy that just wore the belt (and did successfully 'defend' it once against Crolla, however one may feel about that)

Just seems polite, quid pro quo and everything. He did give Crolla a rematch..

How come America can't compete from 160 up? I guess they can only do well in the midget divisions

Broner certainly through less punches than Kell that's for sure. In fact he threw less punches than Pacquiao in a fight Pac got a class action law suit filed against him.

Let's put that theory to the test then if we have more fighters below lightweight. Using the number of fighters boxec lists for each country.

    Super Feather: USA 135 > UK 59
    Feather: USA 120 > UK 33
    Super Batam: USA 77 > UK 26
    Batam: USA 29 > UK 23
    Super Fly: USA 16 > UK 10
    Fly: USA 13 > UK 12
    Light Fly: USA 3 > UK 0
    Straw: USA 0= UK 0

    Total USA 393 >>>> 163

:pwned More fighters yet we have 5 champs in those division to your 1.:lol:

After reading some of the posts on this thread, its clear to me that lots of people on these boards DKSAB !

I criticise IB on occasions about his scoring, but tonight he was spot on.

I had Murray winning by a point ( allowing for the expected German bias )

Abrahams record outside of Germany is 3 fights, lost 2, won 1.

This is why he never leaves his adopted homeland.

    Corrupt

Not just lost two, but was schooled twice.

Actually - thrice. Ward, Dirrell, Froch. (USA x2, and Finland)
