Oh come on, Abraham is good, yes, but Hagler is one of the best MWs ever to lace em up. Hagler would stop Abraham.

He didn't have anywhere near the same rate of KO's at 154 either, that doesn't change the fact that many people consider him a better fighter there and his power/strength was likely increased, as shown so emphatically by his performance against Duran. Aside from the Shuler fight at MW, you're forgetting about the 4th round KO over the very rough, tough, and durable Juan Domingo Roldan (the same one we just mentioned). It's hard to have a consistently high KO ratio fighting at a less frequent rate against opponents like Wilfred Benitez.

That means he's more undisciplined in between fights, like most fighters these days, it doesn't mean he'd have any significant size advantage in the ring, or that it would make any difference if he did. Hagler was just supremely well conditioned and disciplined.

    Fair enough.

    He might.

But IMO, it would be unlikely.

    This one goes the distance.

    Good stuff.

I think we're in general agreement as to how this one would unfold.

And we can agree to differ on the implications of previous-day weigh-ins.:good

Abraham is getting over rated on this thread by people who think this is even a competetive fight. AA is an unproven european level titlist. Haglar is an ATG. This fight would not even be close AT ALL. People saying it would go the distance are full of ****. When Haglar started trippling up on his jab and spinning it around into an uppercut followed by a double left, what the **** would AA do? He'd hit the canvass and take a ten count.

Right now Kelly Pavlik is the best middleweight in the world, and he's not qualified to mow Haglar's lawn! Haglar/Abraham is a ludicrous match-up.

Abraham is strong like an ox,has underrated boxing skills,a very hard punch and a titanium jaw (also literally).
Hagler would be forced to go the distance but would switch stances from southpaw to unorthodox to catch Arthur while he covers up and scoring points based on agression and volume punching?
Arthur's huge one punch power wouldn't help him because Marvin would take the shots not without blinking, but he wouldn't be stunned.
