...I saw some of the public work out today and this might really be a competitive fight.

AA already let it look like a real hard work out in comparison to other fighters who just do it for the show and the fans the week before the fight.

AA wore a sweat suit and the team is claiming that he has to lose some weight till saturday - I hope they didn't have miscalculated the whle situation with AA coming back from 166 and now has to try hard to come down again to 160.

So what I am trying to tell you is that b/c AA might very well be a bit weigh-drained and for that Marquez could make it a close fight - you all know the slugishness of fighters who first went up, than going down in weight again.

Even AA already stated that he expects that this fight in all liklihood will go the full route.

P.S. I hate when fighters have to try hard to come down in weight and not fighting at a weight they are comfortable with.

    Just my 2 cents...

I think it will be competitve in the first few rounds then Abraham will start to dominate and maybe even stop Marquez

Being weight drained won't affect Abraham half as much as it does other fighters. It affects mainly stamina and punch resistance. Abraham's chin is absolute granite so even if it takes a bit of his punch resistance away, it's still amazingly high. And his stamina, well, to put it bluntly, he's a lazy ****.

No,his chin is titanium after the operations after the first Miranda fight:D

  7. Marquez was destroyed by Jermaine Taylor. Does anyone remember that? Abraham wins by KO in the early/mid rounds

Plus, Marquez isn't a big puncher, and not even a natural MW. He's a JMW. Doubtful he'll dent Abraham's chin. AA is just too strong. He'll bide his time and take Marquez out. And I say that as a Marquez fan. I just think the power difference will be too great. Plus, Marquez ain't exactly a spring chicken.

He should Ko a washed up Marquez, even if AA comes to the ring with an oxygen mask.

I'd be surprised. He might nick a few early on work-rate and sheer laziness on Abraham's part, but its calculated laziness and eventually he'll catch up with Marquez.

Look at the factors at play. Marquez is not a big middleweight, Abraham struggles to make the limit and has a thick frame.

Marquez relies on offense for defence, does not move his head an inch, and always throws punches which obviously makes him more open

Abraham loves fighters to come at him, rather than having to chase the fight himself

Marquez has been stopped by far lesser punchers, Taylor as far as I'm concerned is an average puncher, and guys like Campas and Vargas are obviously big punchers but not in middleweight terms.

    Only one outcome.

I don't see this fight being competitve. I see Marquez getting stopped....ocelot is right, Marquez is not a big middleweight and I'm sorry but beating old ass Mckart and than Lorenzo does not make him elite in my eyes. He deserves a title shot and he's a nice guy, but I see this fight neding very badly for Marquez. Pavlik vs Abraham in 09!

Might be competitive or could be a blowout. Gotta admit I didn't expect Marquez to beat Lorenzo.

Yeah, nobody expected Marquez to rise to the occasion against Lorenzo. But Abraham's a whole other thing from Lorenzo, who crumbled once his offense was neutralized. I just don't see Abraham getting frustrated in that way. He'll sit back like a coiled snake behind his glove-defense and wait until he sees an opportunity to counter. And then the fight's over.
