Abraham KO. Marquez has always had an average chin and I think Abraham may be able to catch him. Marquez will try to pressure and Abraham will back on to the ropes, covering up in his turtle shell defence. He'll let Marquez get a little over confident and then look to counter him with a powerful flurry off the ropes. This will lead to Raul being hurt/wobbled and then finished off, probably ending his career.

    Arthur Abraham mid-round KO. :good

Arthur is basically Winky Wright with 100x the power. By the way, don't you remember what Taylor did to Marquez? Every good fighter has one last great fight left in them. I was proud and rooted for Marquez in this one. But back to reality, notice you are not getting many responces, only votes. Arthur will probably destroy Marquez when Raul could have retired on top with a win over a youngster. Raul has other ways to make money, he was announcing for awhile, there is no need for him to get hurt. All of us know that money rules professional sports, but unfortunately in this game the players can get seriously hurt. Abraham vs. Marquez is soley to hype the significant fight, which would be better for all if it just took place now, Pavlik vs. Abraham.

Unfortunately for their immediate opponents, promoters and sanctioning bodies will use the mismatches to hype up the meaningfull fight and generate more revenue. Meanwhile, decent athletes will make another payday at the sake of their wellbeing and health.

No, Abraham will not back up nor will he use a shell defence, he will walk him down inthe 5/6 round.
Shell defence is new for Abraham, and martinez don't have the power to make Abraham woory. Abraham had a good chin before Miranda.

No brainer . . . Marquez can only managed a draw against the old wash out Mccart . . . how do you expect him to beat an unbeaten Abraham. Giovani Lorenzo is not a factor . . . so don't get lost.

It's a big mismatch, I don't give Marquez too much chance. But he can make it exciting for a few rounds, can take a good punch, so I see him hanging on for the first few rounds before AA stops him...

A KO win yesterday would've been better for the US TV interest but with Marquez winning on points, I don't see neither Showtime nor HBO travelling to Germany for this one... which is a bit bad for the marketing of Pavlik-Abraham and staging that one is a marketing question for Bob Arum.

I see this fight a little bit like Abrahams fight vs. Gevor. Gevor had success early with a high workrate and good work on the inside. But after 5,6 rounds Abraham had figured him out and started to deliever big punishment. Sooner or later Abraham lands a bomb. If the opponent then goes into survival mode he may only lose a UD. Guys like Jantuah or Taylor didnt come to win in the first place. Still it was surprising they managed to survive somehow. So its not a given Abraham takes everyone out easy from now on. But well, he seems to be in his prime now, so i dont see anyone having a easy time with him.

Marquez deserves credit for beating Lorenzo and working his way into a title shot at his age. But it ends with Abraham. This is a mismatch but one Abraham needs to get out of the way so the real middleweight showdown can happen. Pavlik gets rid of Rubio and Abraham does in Marquez than Pavlik-Abraham is huge.
