Nicky Cook said after the fight that AA was going to his house for a meal next week with the family.

    I don't think they'll be going now.

Sour grapes big time. The was no question of doubt, and Terry o'connor's scoring was ridiculous, even though in favour of Cook, it was too close.

Arthur wasn't robbed - he was beaten fair and square. Even if all three judges had been from Edinburgh he would still have lost.

He lost...just looking for excuses for what was another poor performance. Had he not been in contention for the belt, Arthur probably would have stepped up a weight a few fights ago. It has actually gone against him gaining the belt probably as it forced his hand in staying at SF.

I could not score the fight great over my link but I had Cook at least three rounds up at the end. AAA needs to move up in weight and stop his pathetic whinging. Why everytime a Jock loses do they blame the English? I supported AAA through the fight and wanted him to win but his country men always try and find the easy way out.

He lost. Simple as that. He had better power and it looked like it might make a difference at times but it was a fair result.

Alex Arthur has never been anywhere near worldclass.

He lost to Michael Gomez, went to the wire with Foster jnr and he has now lost to Cook.

Maybe it was the weight but that shouldnt be an excuse because if your having trouble at the weight......move up.

Ive said all along that Alex is nomore than a Euro/British level fighter.

Can't see how he thinks he won, he didn't look that shocked when the result was called either :huh

I thought Arthur didn't turn up. No fire and seemed empty and vacant.
If he picked up his game half way though he could have won or got a late TKO. But he didn't press the fight, english bias no chance. Cook out pointed him by at least 4-5 rounds I reckon.

He needs to move up a weight now IMHO.

Come on you know it's true. Alot of fighters blame this, that and everyone but themselves when they lose a fight but everytime a Scottish fighter loses it is some how an Englishmans fault. Well AAA did get it part right because an English man was the reason he lost but it was not a judge or a ref but the guy in the other corner who proved himself the better fighter. Like I said I am an AAA fan and had hoped he would win but no need for the sour grapes.
