    Nah.
Most here didnt see the fight, but pretended to. & as for this 'scoring' permit me to laugh:lol:

Everyone here suddenly judges a fight whilst they are watching. with their big bit of card & a felt tip pen...

Honestly, I try to hold my tongue on here sometimes, but when I see some of the posts I shake my big scottish head in disbelief.

    1. I am a hardcore boxing fan, & I know some others in my circle. None of us score a fight as its happening, cos it ruins the spectacle. Funny though that when Cook wins, everyone here had their felt tip & cardboard out:lol:
Yup, its forced laughter. Forced because its so pathetic reading so called boxing fans sometimes, that they openly pretend here to score fights as they happen, utter codswallop, thats what it is.

& dont even get me started on the scottish psyche. Too late, I have started.
look. Boxing is a minority sport in Scotland, its about as popular as dodgeball. Compare it to England & Wales, where boxing is very popular. Big crowds for Hatton & Froch for instance, & in Wales Calzaghe sells out football stadiums. Or should that be rugby stadiums? I dont know. All I know is he sells out stadiums.
Right. Time for a deep breath.

& here we go. the few scottish fight fans are so outnumbered here by the english that they will often lie down & tell untruths, just to suit the vast majority on here. Why? Cos they want to belong. & in order to belong, you better love english boxers to appease the vast majority of english posters!
& thats why they they will back down & say stuff like the englander deserved to beat one of their own.
Its called trying to fit in to gain respect.

Trouble with me is though is I have never wanted to fit in here, I just tell it like it is as the old saying goes.
& without blowing my own trumpet, I know much more about boxing than the vast majority of morons who post on this forum.

So to call me biased cos I dont agree with the moronic majority who post here with their hidden agendas & acceptance issues? I say this.

Just cos Im outspoken, doesnt mean Im wrong.

Arthur beat Cook, & thats a fact.

3 english judges & & english ref for a fight in England, are you seriously trying to tell me Strike that it wouldnt have a bearing on the result?

In fact, dont even bother answering. You showed your true colours with your last post already. & you havent even seen the bloody fight!

You couldnt make it up here sometimes...

p.s if anyone on ESB was offended or hurt by my 'moronic' jibe, its only because you are insecure about what I truly think about your knowledge of boxing, or lack of it more importantly;)

If you feel I respect you, you will take the 'moron' jibe with a big pinch of salt:good
    If you dont though...

Your reply to an arrogant englander like Strike who never bothered to reply to your anglo-scottish 'olive branch' is a perfect example of what I am talking about here.

Man, I would hate Strike if only I didnt know hes so scottish that if he was any good at football George Burley could call him up to face Iceland tonight!

& thats the triple truth, Ruth:D

as sad as it is, i do often score fights while i'm watching, especially if i'm watching via stream.

and even if i don't do that, i can still usually remember who i think won each round.

So every arrogant English person had the fight wrong but just doesn't realise their inherent bias.

And all the Scots, well they didn't have it wrong - they just lie to fit in with the English.

Thank God for clear thinking, neutral observers like Dunky. A beacon of light in this crazy, divided, partisan world we live in.

Dunky, your obsession borders on the pathological. There's more to life mate. You'll give yourself an ulcer. Your imagined English foes just don't give a toss about all this England-Scotland antipathy, you do realise that?

    Please, spare me.

I know everyone will come on here like yourself & proclaim they score every fight they watch, just to petty point score against me.

Answer this honestly though. when you are scoring a fight do you have the mindset of a neutral judge, & watch every minute of every round, & try to judge every puch landed & leave all bias behiind like the paid judges are supposed to do?

If you & all the other internet judges here do, then you all have my utmost respect, cos judging a fight is requires total concentration for the duration of the fight.

Be honest Rooq, & admit you watch a fight, enjoy it & loosely judge it based on what the commentators are telling you. Like just about every other average joe boxing fan, & dont insult my intelligence by pretending otherwise.

I never said every english person was arrogant trotter, dont post lies just to suit your own argument.

As for the majority of the scots who post here, I have said what had to be said, & I stand by my viewpoint.

& if my english foes dont exist, why did they team up to rob Alex Arthur?
3 English judges & an english ref for an 'ald enemy' clash in England, are you seriously trying to tell me thats acceptable Trotter?

Put the shoe on the other foot for a second. Cook fight Arthur in Scotland with 3 scottish judges & a scottish ref. Would you be happy about that?

    Be honest.

Im only defending my own. You would too if my other scenario had happened.

In fact, I would defy any englander to tell me that if Cook had to come up to Scotland & fight in front of 3 scottish judges & a scottish ref you wouldnt all be well pissed off.

See it from my angle. The REAL angle.

They did it to Scotty Harrison too, & when Scotty destroyed Brodie the english judges had Brodie ahead on the scorecards:lol:

Peter & Scotty moaned about having to go down to England to defend their title against 3 english judges & an english ref, poor Alex was just too daft to realise that when it comes to a Scotland-England fight that you will get no equality from them.

Poor Alex has learned the hard way that there is no such thing as British.
Cos when it comes to the crunch the english will **** us over every time.
Hopefully he will learn from this robbery that they dont treat us as their equals. They never have, never will.

Stereotypical jock with a chip on his shoulder, " the english are always picking on us " grow up and stop spending as much time on the interent Dunky it is seriously affecting your views.

You said earlier you have more boxing knowledge than most on here and I must admit I have found that to be true but come on ffs, you are acting like a spoilt child on here cos Arthur lost. It wouldn't be so bad but everyone admits he is probably the better fighter of the two but didn't seem motivated enough to do it for some reason.

If you want to get angry at someone blame Arthur he let himself down and all the people like you that for some reason viewed this as Eng V Sco and now can't believe their boy choked.

Apologies for the first bit, that's how it read to me, but it was only Strike you called an 'arrogant Englishman'. I wouldn't make up or alter what you said deliberately, I hate people doing that **** myself.

On the second point, I guess I'd just advise Cook to do a Gomez and put it beyond the control of the judges.

Yes, he was robbed. English judges + English boxer + Scottish boxer losing = Robbery. That's not opinion, that's math.

Mr McCafferty, generally you speak an awful lot of sense and I always make sure that I read your posts as a matter of course...this time I wish I hadn't bothered because the statement above is just pure, unadulterated, biased, chip on the shoulder bollocks. Whatever you may think, Cook won the fight, I didn't need to score it I just saw the evidence with my own two eyes...next time you watch the fight open yours and take the blue and white blinkers off :thumbsup
