There was nothing to suggest Alex Arthur won that fight, how many boxers state 'i'm sure i won that' after the final bell goes, alot do. It's part of boxing life, judges do get fights wrong, but in this case, they didn't

So the commentators got it wrong, the majority of posters on here got it wrong, the punch stats were wrong, just glad Amir Khan didn't fight under a Scottish banner, i would hate to think his knockdown's were overturned and changed to 'an unfortunate slip in his Reebox'......:D

Hopefully Alex will come to his senses, perhaps get a chance to re-watch the fight, and realise how utterly wrong he is. If he's still trying to push that he was 'robbed' months down the line he's going to make himself look Audley-level deluded.

Yes it probably is a legitimate point.

But its relevance to the thread? Zero.

Thats right, you are just asking for cries of "fix" if you don't have neutral judges. I really don't know what they were thinking of?

Hardly. If I wanted to be a dick about it or disingenuous, I would just have said "Cook won and clearly". I said I have not seen it, meaning I will not say for sure until I have. But I found it amusing that I KNEW straight away that you would say Arthur won and yet there were what 5 Scottish fans saying Cook won, including one who is called AAA.

I have no history of bias in regards to Scotland. Said Arthur would stop Gomez in a rematch, support Limmond and I have also said that prime Harrison would always have beaten Brodie (who was one of my favourite figters).

You on the other hand have a record of saying things like the sombrero gate incident which I told you was wrong for months before I managed to prove it with footage. And you had Harrison clearly beating Polo if I remember correctly, when not another poster on the site did.

I do agree that having English judges and an English ref is a farce and quite frankly I cannot believe that was allowed to happen. But it is all rather predictable that you would have Cook losing when nobody else appears to.

I do mate, however I don't think the result would have been much different do you ?

As others have said he should have complained before but your right I wouldn't have been happy about it and I can't tbh understand how it was allowed to happen...... anyone ?

Its just a sign of the times, that was a Euro level fight. Don't let all the titles skew that. Before all these world titles came out how often was there an all-Brit world title fight? Virtually never, the fighters would meet at British or Euro level, the winner would (hopefully) go on to a world title shot and the loser had to work his way up again.

For anyone that hasn't seen Arthur v Cook yet, wants to re-watch or Sky+ it - will be on Sky Sports 1 at 7.30pm & 11.30pm tomorrow (Thurs). Khan v Prescott will be shown as well.
