Yeah, in that particular situation he said "we're looking on while America and Canada go their separate ways"... I chose not to translate that part at all out of fear of starting a political argument. Well, Abraham's German is funny sometimes. I guess he was just alluding to the Detroit River flowing by in the background, no worries.
The latest news is that there will be three judges from Michigan and a referee from Michigan. AA needs a KO to win!
Since Dirrell couln't stop Froch, who was put on the seat of his pants by Taylor, I don't think he can stop the iron-chinned Abraham who has yet to be put down in his entire career. I understand syles make fights and we never know until they get in the ring but I hope Dirrell is planning on trying to outbox the Armenian toughman, which is most likely his gameplan going into any fight based on his style. Also, as already mentioned, if it goes to decision it goes to dirrell whether he deserves it or not.
Part Three of Abraham's video blog [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZIOSswpcPUQ&feature=player_embedded[/ame] "We're at the Kronk Gym where many greats suchs as Tommy Hearns and Marvin Hagler have trained. Emanuel Steward has trained many of his boxers here. To be frank I prefer to be at the Max Schmeling Gym in Berlin, but the Kronk Gym is not too bad for this one week. ;-)" "The first few days in Detroit have been quite relaxed, I've been in light training, there's press conferences, I'm feeling very good." "I've got no trouble at all with my weight and only need to lose two more pounds for the fight."
German newspaper article: Abraham´s sparring partners have to wear masks because in the heavier weightclass Abraham´s punching-power has grown enormously. Lets hope that Dirrell (like Nasirov in the picture) has his icehockey-mask ready going into the fight with Abraham: http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/mehr-...teId=renderScaled,property=Bild,width=465.jpg Abraham could be a Mega-Star in america over night on saturday. Instead of 18 million there are 54 million americans able to watch him, because Showtime airs the fight for free. Abraham knows that the only way to convince the US-Fans is an impressive KO. Abraham: "I´m in a rage like i´ve never been before." The reason: Dirrell postponed the fight two times. King Arthur: "I´ll punish him for that in the ring." http://www.bild.de/BILD/sport/mehr-...sparringspartner-tragen-eishockey-masken.html
I wouldn´t take this too seriously, it´s from BILD after all. They like to exaggerate things. I assume it´s just a bull**** story to hype Abraham and get him some media coverage. Nevertheless the King is a beast and I will root for him sturday night.:bbb
Maybe you´re right, but I just thought it was a funny story. The fact is that he has even more power after moving up to 168. Now in his second fight in a row at SMW his body will be even stronger than against Taylor. I hope he knocks Dirrell out on saturday and that we´ll see a good fight. It´ll be very difficult for Dirrell to find the right amount of aggression going into this bout imo.
