Just in case you thought the Pacquiao-Clottey crowd size (50,000) was exceptional (which it was):

Just in case you thought that David Haye was the draw that brought the massive (60,000) crowd to watch fill-in Ruslan Chagaev fight Vitali's brother Wladimir Klitschko at the same arena, think again.

To paraphrase a former United States president: It's the Klitschkos, stupid.

Europe, and particularly Germany, loves the fighting brothers and the gate numbers don't lie.

Simply amazing! KlitschKOs are good for boxing. They do so much for raising its popularity worldwide.

They do incredible numbers. There's no two ways about that. When Americans talk about the death of boxing it makes me laugh, with those two brothers hauling in 60k every time they so much as sit down for breakfast

Long may it continue. I hope boxing in central/eastern Europe prospers under these guys. They should be influencing 1000's of youngsters who otherwise wouldn't take up the sport.

Europes time is coming, Americas time is drawing to a close.
(I don't actually beliveve that but I can always hope.)

They would sell double the numbers if they would fight in a bigger place. Boxing is mainstream here and it´s still growing. It probably profits also from having no competition. MMA, K-1, wrestling are all niche-sports that only very few are interested in.

Three days ago there were only 35.000 tickets sold and according to Bönte there are only 50.000 tickets available this time. So I doubt that they´ll make 60.000, but we´ll see.

I love the preshows they have in Europe. Vitali walking in to Hells Bell's and a giant bell ringing, swell stuff.

Will the fight be shown anywhere on Sky, ESPN.. ANYWHERE?
