I'm sure it will get a good attendance but I won't trust the word coming out of the Klitschko camp regarding the attendance. I'm sure they said the Wlad/Chambers fight was sold out but I was sitting in the mid area and you could see from there that there were maybe 5,000 empty seats, mostly around the top.

    The cheapest ones are 22€.

I heard that 85% of the tickets will be between 22€ and about 85€, but now there are some special offers, because they only sold about 35.000 - 40.000 tickets so far.

The capacity often depends on the event. Quite often not all seats are sold out because they simply aren´t allowed to the sell them due to security regulations.

That's reasonable, the reason I asked was tickets for football seem to be quite a bit cheaper in Germany compared to the UK.

There were some fans in these areas, some empty seats. I've got a few pictures of it but it's a bit hard to see as it was dark in there.

I doubt that there will be 60k fans. By saying that I believe the brothers could sell out even bigger places by fighting Haye or each other.
Imho they could make the biggest boxing event ever by fighting each other.

Most people going to these events aren't boxing fans. The Germans love their beer, these big stadium fights are more like Octoberfest events. They being in local bands and entertainers to play, then some beer, some more music, some more beer. And then a bunch of boxfights.

Why does this come as shock to anyone? Big crowds in the US is unusual but its quite common in other countries. I suppose people from the US just dont get the fact that boxing is big elsewhere. In UK, Hatton & Haye could easily sell out a stadium. Im sure Cotto could sell out a stadium in PR. Im sure Morales/MAB prime could get huge crowds in Mexico. They couldnt build a big enough stadium to accomodate for a Pac fight in the Philippines. Japan apparently quite likes its boxing too though I doubt there is any big stadiums there to host fights.

I was live there and the stadion annoncer said:

    51.500 people in the arena.

Wlad had 61.000 people at Schalke.

But Vitali this time sold only 35.000, they expect 40.000 -45.000 on fight day.

Wlad has had 61,000 and 51,000 people at his last two fights. Vitali will have 60,000 at his upcoming fight, and if Wladimir vs Povetkin does land in Moscow expect Luzhniki to be filled with over 75,000 people. Boxing is alive and well.

Exactly. When a local Friday night card takes place in America we get 1500-2000 people to show up. Tonight in Quebec city a local card will draw 10,000.

:huh, why the hell wouldn't there be ?

Japan has 18 40,000+ stadiums which mainly cater to baseball and soccer teams. They did co-host the 2002 World Cup you know and having a number of large stadia is a requirement to do that.

Unless you mean although it's popular it's not popular enough to fill those stadiums in which case you'd be right. But I'm sure a Hasagawa vs Nishioka fight would do huge numbers in Japan.

FLoyd could sell 60k easy in the UK, if they were between £20-80 for decent ticket. Funny how he could fill a stadium in a diff continent nd cant fill a casino in his own.
