Since I don't think we are suppossed to hype other sights on here, I am going to post the text without the author or webadress:

My personal favorite website for Mixed Martial Arts news, (Delete source) is reporting that Mike Tyson is in some serious training, in which the former boxer is training his butt off with a respected strength and conditioning coach.

Sherdog quotes a source, who wishes to stay anonymous, that Tyson has been privately "training his ass off," the source went on to add that Tyson will not be doing boxing anymore.

The source was then asked if Tyson was in training to take a stab at MMA? The source would only tell Sherdog, "I don't know, I can't say."

    ha
Which means that he has been training for a few months, which makes sense since he was/is grossly overweight.

My guess is at that time he knew he wanted to come back, but didn't have the shape in his mind of what direction it would take.

If and thats a major IF, he can get a good trainer, get his weight to under 230, regain some basic fundamentals, he can POSSIBLY make enough noise to knock out some bums, mabey KO a few decent HW's like Minto or Sykes and hell with his name, get a crack at a title shot......dont count on it though but it is possible.

You know, I have been the lone voice defending the heavies for a long time, saying they aren't that bad, and if there is not Tyson or Lewis out there, at least the division is deep.

But now, we have Chagaev injured yet again, Ibragamov deciding to take the year off, Haye doing his fighting with his mouth, either Ruiz or Valuev getting a belt back (and who really cares which one it is?) etc. It seems every time the division repairs itself a little bit, it falls back down hard. Finally, even I am sick of it.

So my take it, why the hell not? He'll have a punchers chance agaisnt Wlad- a slim one, but a real one. He might actually come in in better shape than Peter, and I don't think anyone would disagree that Tyson hits harder. He could out brawl ruiz. Haye, Dimentrenko or Rahmen are there to be knocked out by a good puncher, etc.

I know it sounds bizarre, and believe me, I am not a nut hugger ( I was never even a big fan) but the division is so bad that yeah, a serious, motivated, in shape 42 year old Tyson would have a place.

And I 110% agree with you....but a half ass, fat, slow, plodding, "im only here for money" Tyson will get his ass handed to him and further **** his legacy up.

Lets hope he shows up to fight if this is real.

I always felt a little sorry for Tyson. He's caused a lot of trouble over the years, but I don't really think he raped that girl. I think he was probably just rough on her, and she took some revenge. Regardless, I always felt that he was someone who was genuinely mentally ill, and had a kind of childlike innocence to where he could not understand why everyone used him, and no one really gave an honest f--- about him.

Well, he's got kids, apparently he is finally trying to go clean, and maybe he can put the past behind him and give it one last run, and then be at peace with what he has accomplished.

True, when McBride pushed him down and Tyson just looked up and sighed, I admit a tear fell, and after the interview he gave, another fell.
