Arcel knew more about boxing than all of us combined....only Dempsey could've beaten Louis in arcels opinion....IMO only Dempsey and Johnson could whip Louis in a trilogy

To be fair boxing is littered with incorrect predicitions from top trainers over it's course. Just one would be Futch picking Hearns over Hagler. There are many more.

The bottom line is it's virtually impossible to be sure on such matchups.

A 6'2" and only 198.75 lbs guy who would beat the prime Tyson... It's ridicolous idea.

Just more reason to run...run far away from others opinions that dont add up. If you think louis to be favored over Tyson...well i havent heard any logical reason yet. Remember i said logical and that means your point can and will be argued and with LOGICAL points...even Tyson who HATES putting himself over greats said he would...lol.

To be fair, Louis was as high as 207 lbs in his prime.

I think you're being pretty rough on Louis. I used to think Louis would beat Tyson, now I'm not so sure. What I think it would boil down to is how Louis takes Tyson's power and can he remain effective when he is hurt and has a rampaging prime Mike Tyson moving in for the kill? Louis recovery powers and ability to fight when hurt was second to none, but they would be given the ultimate acid test if he had to fight an 86-88 Tyson.

Louis was no smaller than Holyfield.

The size disparity, or rather weight disparity, is not an issue here.

A very rational assessment of the situation.
