you still have to see where Haye is coming from. if he generates more money than the Klitsckos he should get the bigger slice, I don't see how anyone can argue with that from a business stand point.

ass a fan i say "back up your words and take the fight 50-50" but the Klitsckos need to answer the same questions. If they really wan't Haye they should be prepared to give away the UK money.

 

I dont know. its 50/50 both sides they are both HW champs, but Hayes resume is laughable compared to the Klits, and Klits have been HW champ much longer. Haye should just take the fight and split 50/50 down the middle. will he do that is another thing.

Hayes record is not laughable compared to the Klitskcos. Haye was undisputed champion at Cruiserweight, beat the lineal Champion. Have either Klitscko ever beat a lineal champ or unified a division??

 

Thats fair enuf, but it is laughable mate, and his HW resume is not the best either, It just frustrates me that he wont just crack on and sign on the dotted line. he should just sign with vitali 50/50 down the middle and get it on. i understand he wants to make as much money as possible, which if i was in his position i would feel the same, but he has got deadlines he wants to retire next year and hes pretty certain he is going to stick to that, he has nowhere else to go and he talks aout legacy and **** if he wants to achieve near an ATG status then he got to get in the ring with 1 Klit if not 2.

Its unlike me to down talk Haye as i have always stuck up for him,(look at my other threads/posts about Haye) but it does genuinley look like he is ducking them, 1 min they want to fight Wlad then Vitali then it changes again then Vitali comes with an offer and they saying they want Wlad again, they both HW champs split it even and if he beats Vitali which im sure he will, he can then make demands but until then just fight and dont be greedy!

Its impossible for us but its not impossible for the teams to work it out.

They know how much Haye made from his fights with Ruiz and Audley in PPV. They know how much Wlad made from German TV. They no how much each made from the rest of europe, asia and the ROTW.
HBO have categoricly said they will buy a Haye vs Klitscko fight, but will not buy a fight between either and another opponent (apart from Adameck). If the amount of money generated from all worldwide TV revenue is 60% in Hayes favour, he should get a 60% cut.

You can get an indication of how many people in Germany are watching to see Haye and how many are watching to see Klitskco. Wlad got 12million watching his last fight, Haye got 4million for the Audley fight. 1/4 to Haye its simple.

We know that the Klitsckos can get 40,000 in a stadium, but more people doesn't always mean more money due to the large costs involved in putting on a stadium fight. Remember Klitscko vs Haye sold 60,000 tickets in 1 day in 2009, and before that the Klitsckos had never been in an arena bigger than 25,000.

At the end of the day if David Haye can say he made an average of £10million from his last two fight, and the Brothers only made £7million, Haye should get the lions share. If its the other way round the Klitsckos should get the lions share. It doesn't matter about ring titles, having 2 belts or who called who out first.

Whoever generates more money, should take the bigger purse, end of story.

 

I don't think you can laugh of his Heavyweight resume. He won a title in 2 fights. Thats pretty impressive no matter who the champion is and how bad the fight was.

Its unlike me to back up Haye. But you can't cast the Klitsckos as inocent bystanders who will do anything in there power to take the fight. All 3 fighters are now business men first and boxers 2nd.

If the Klitschko deal is so terrible for Haye why doesn't he fight Chagaev? That fight will do how much in PPV? 350k? 400k? Thats 400k x 5 quid from Sky = 2 million pounds for Haye.

Then a 12-14k gate makes Haye another 1 million quid.

So that's 3 million for Haye. Out of that he has to pay Chagaev his mandatory 25% share and he has to pay a nice fat cut to Sauerland thanks to the slave contract. Oh yea Haye is such a money machine and such a genius business man

Im not saying the Klits are inocent mate, but they have dished out the contracts and Haye and his team are changing their minds all the time.. are they not? (dont make me scroll through the net and find articles to evidence this) infact there are probs posts on here already.

I would not consider it to be crazy, its jut another excuse to not fight them. but then again we will never know the FACTS bcoz Haye team saying one thing and Klit team saying another.

What would Chagaev do for him though if he plans to retire next October? although Chagaev would probs be the best name on his HW resume to date i cant see it doing much, unless he uses it as a warm up fight for a klit bro later next year then retires... i dont know, bottom line is to get in thr ring with the Klits and prove he can beat them and unify the divison, without doing this he cant be what he says he is going to be!

Were the people Holyfield faced in his first 5 Heavyweight fights much better??


Bonin - For a Heavyweight debut was good, and he dispatched him in 1 round.

Barrett - For a full Heavyweight debut again very good. Was a top 15 Heavyweight at the time, coming off a win. Exciting fight and Haye was impressive.

Valuev - A World Champion. Perhaps a poor one but a top 5 Heavyweight and a difficult fight for anyone especially a small HW like Haye.

Ruiz - Mandatory. Was still a top 10 Heavyweight.

Harrison - Cannot defend. A disgrace. But if Audley was called Arnold Harneman, a German Olympic Champion with the exact same record, and the Klitscko's could make huge money fighting him? Do you really think they wouldnt???

And lets be real. Sosnowski, also won a vacant European title and got his shot. Shannon Briggs??? Do I need to go through the Klitsckos records and point our all the **** fighters they have faced in the last 3 years??

I don't think either side are saying different things now. Just arguing why either man is right. Booth has said Haye generates more revenue than a Klitskco based on the figures he was given in negotiations last year. K2 have never denied this, and have said that the UK money far out ways the german TV money. They are the biggest earners for either man, followed by HBO in the US who will only buy this fight, not either man agaisnt another opponent.

As I have said, as a fan I say "Hayes being a *****" but to think the Klitsckos are bending over backwards to make the fight would be nieve.

 

I agree, but remember Haye plans to retire in October. If his next two fights are the Klitsckos, they will be in Europe. So no big US fight.
