Boxing is declining because of MMA??

News to me, 2007 Boxing had it's biggest PPV selling fight EVER!!

2007 Boxing had it's biggest grossing gate Ever!!

2008 Boxing had another huge year, sure some PPV's didn't sell **** but those fights had no business on PPV in the first place.

When HBO and Showtime drop Boxing that's when I would start to worry, Boxing should only be on PPV 4 times a year IMO. If the UFC is doing great numbers, well that's great for them. The WWF was doing better numbers then Boxing for awhile, I wonder if Boxing fans were getting their panties in a bunch back then too.

Boxing is a global sport with many avenues for revenue, when those MMA guys can make 1/10 of what Boxing superstars are making then you might have something to talk about. The best athletes in the combat sport niche will continue to come to Boxing, funny how nobody brings up EliteXC dying and the IFL.

When you got a former WWF Champion, having a manfeets war with some other MMA guy in an Affliction Shirt, and drawing numbers to rival DLH-Tattoo, "Houston, we have a problem":deal

Those numbers haven't been confirmed, first they said that event sold 700k-800k, then the UFC president said it did 1 million(He has done it before where it was bull****)

Wrestlemania did over a million buys worldwide this year too, and honestly who cares how much they buy or sell?? If the UFC ppv's are selling better will the Boxing fans switch sports?? They are two different demographics, if anything the UFC has helped Boxing putting presure on promoters and making the best fights happen.

Boxing still dominates when it comes to

    Biggest events
    Biggest gates
    Bigger audience
    Bigger purses

All Boxing needs to do is put less fights on PPV and make the undercards better, that is all.

The first thing a poster does when you enter his thread and exlax on him is say that the poster is following you around:lol:. I'd do it too lol... You then go check the history of posting, and you see that the clowns are exposed. Nobody can take you serious as a fan because of the above type talk. For some reason you and Dinamita resort to this, "Nallege is following me around" bit :nutlol. What's up wit dat lol...!!!???:dead
