He loses to any of those guys really...anybody above a B- level takes Roy to school at this point.

He tried his hardest and had nothing against Calzaghe..THAT is when you know you're shot. When NOTHING works anymore.

I'd rather all the old LHWs had a tournament amongst themselves (Hopkins, Tarver, Dawson, Jones) with the winner getting a vacation home in Ft. Lauderdale or somewhere in Florida. Maybe even a boat on the Panhandle.

I think Roy should fight if he wants to fight, his legacy is secure and he knows it. He still has the capability to be a dangerous and competitive fighter as many experts and commentators say. One bad loss against the best should not dismiss him.

Where were the many calls for him to retire before the Calzaghe fight?

Lots of people now dismiss him as washed up (many did before this fight, but the list has grown significantly) so he now has something to prove.

Roy has become Hoyfield...It's so sad. Now every will have to hear how his career was smoke and screens because he continues to fight 5 or 6 past his prime... It's crazy...

I've heard from some in Pensacola that Roy's fighting because he needs the money, hes sunk a lot into his rap label among other things. Its obvious Roy is shot and should retire, hopefully before he take unneccessary damage.

can't agree with those comparing jones w/ ali or holyfield. i saw most of the calzaghe fight and to me jones looked competitive though calzaghe was winning and it went further downhill with the cut. he had pretty good movement and was on the ropes less than i thought he would be (again i missed a couple of rounds). yes his reflexes weren't nearly as sharp as before, but he wasn't like old shot ali (and holy to a degree) where they look borderline brain damaged (or even moreso). jones landed and blocked a lot of punches and someone who is "way shot" as others have claimed would not be able to do that. jones has enough abiliity remaining IMO to be competitive with a lot of the fighters mentioned and if he adapted some of glen johnson's pressure style he could win some too
