I think you may possibly be the biggest dip**** I’ve ever encountered on here. Larry Freaking Simms, like anyone knows or cares who the hell that is. I assumed you meant Jeff Sims (who did fight and Drop Shavers), he was at least a journeyman. You argued with me weeks ago that Ruddock was knocked out by Tillis. I told you THREE times they never fought. You’re an utter moron and I’m done with you. You play this who knocked out who game and it’s just stupid and pointless. Cool Shavers knocked out a Journeyman faster than Tyson. Shavers beat him in 2 rounds Tyson in 3. Tyson beat Carl Williams in 1 round, Morrison went 8 with a shot Williams. It means nothing but you seem to think it would.

I have honestly never doubted Morison's power!

    It was right up there!

I know that he lacked a chin, and a gas tank.

What lesson do we take away from this?

Power on it's own, is not worth two buckets of warm spit!

I watched the fight live on TV in 1987 when I was 10 with my dad, listen to the British commentary on that fight, Jim Watt said Mike was struggling to put Thomas away and had to be more patient etc.

No, not based upon that...But yes, Bruno & a few guys Tyson fought hit harder than him.
    Smith & Ruddock, for sure.
But as many are saying, that does not mean as good overall, or as effective a puncher.

While the article is well written, and has excellent points,
Some of it to be honest, forced me to take a another look at
Morrison's left hook ( I saw him fight many times, but because he was limited in his overall fight game, It never dawned on me with that particular
Punch, he may have had the greatest left hook of all, and , he just may have had.) but my question for you is, just because a poster has a different opinion from you, you go in the gutter with "licking balls" . Comment? It makes you look like an "Internet Bully".
And the perfectly valid article you produced (I thank you for that different perspective) won't be taken as seriously as it should be because of your bullying persona. Ease up man, all the nastiness not necessary, the article speaks for itself. And if was once or twice, ok, I would say your just being passionate about the subject. But you do it all the time in the majority of the post you submit....... Makes me think your just an internet bully.

The way he dropped Ruddock sounded like a steel refrigerator falling off of a dolly. The entire canvas rattled and Ruddock didn't "drop", it looked and sounded almost like a gun going off. Morrison's hook had so much sheer force behind it. In terms of delivery and power, yeah you could argue he was #1, top 3 bare minimum.

Never understood why he didn't work on defense and his right hand. He had the talent to become an all time great.

As a hardcore Tyson fan, Tommy had the harder single punch. That hook was a touch of death.
