From my perspective as a fan of both guys, GGG won the first fight close but clear, and Canelo the 2nd. I think the hate for Alvarez clouds a lot of people’s judgement.
GGG won both fights. 116-112 the first and 115-113 the second. In neither fight did Canelo do enough to win 7 rounds or more.
8-4 first fight 7-5 second fight. 2 clear ggg wins. He got robbed In the first fight he was the aggressor and beat clearly canelo. In the second fight he changed his gameplan and outboxed and hurt canelo and won close but clear imo. But still canelo is a great fighter as ggg. It's very pity that ggg didnt start his career in the states. He could have had Taylor, abraham, pavlik, Martinez and William's and cotto on his resume.
