    Really? I thought he looked very quite sharp and nothing like a 36 year old who recently had COVID. Never once did Beterbiev look tired in that fight.

    He's going to get criticized for not getting Deines out of there quicker but that's a credit to Deines... he's a tough mother****er. Some of those uppercuts and body shots he ate were nasty.

    Beterbiev showing effects of virus and rib injury, he looked pissed and lethargic at times, if deines had power he would have knocked him out.

    "Canelo beats Beterbiev" based on one fight against a guy that is the most suspect fight (aka Kovalev fix) I've ever seen. Fix isn't usually the thing that comes to my mind when watching boxing..but Kov-Canelo had that written all over it... If that weren't a fix (which I highly doubt) then there was something extremely cognitively wrong with Kovalev and Canelo should be ashamed of fighting him in such a state.

    Beterbiev even in this rusty state, if he actually threw punches, would seriously hurt Canelo... Far worse than what Jose Cotto did

    Maybe a small bit, but at 175 (with Beterbiev coming in at close to 190), I would be betting on Beterbiev.

    Canelo's best chance would be like he did with Golovkin...wait till he gets even older.

    Well he's the right side of 35 going on 37 for a Clenelo opponent but he's a EE fighter so we never cut them any slack. They're completely immune to inactivity, the ageing process, injuries, and even covid lol

    Being hittable is not the same thing as being stoppable.

    Hagler was very hittable, not that he seemed to care. :biggrin:

    He also does not have the movement that Dienes did

    He has also lost 3 times

    Beterbiev turns it up early and KOs him

    Nah if this fight happens you will he surprised at how easily canelo outboxes him. Too skilled too good. He's also fought better level of comp than Beterbiev and that matters.
