It's perfectly fine as a learning experience fight if he goes the full 6. Proving to his team and himself he can take the 6 even if it's against opponents who come to survive is valuable. I can only suspect he was the "float" and Itauma getting stopped so soon moved him before he was due to come on(after the main event if all go long).

 

Tommy Fletcher is horrific to watch.

Yarde is going to get his Glass Jaw obliterated today.

 

Stick it on a small hall show then. To me it looks like he can't land a clean shot on a MW with 97 losses- I won't be bothering to watch another one of his fights and from what I see, I don't expect him to go very far.

 

I know. He is a lovable guy.

 

If Sharp is his best opponent, what does that say about Fletcher's previous opponents? Probably garbage men and sweatshop workers.

To be fair, he seems to be following his corners instructions - Tibbs not exactly been urging him to close it out or take any risks at all

 

Float fights are rarely going to be fights of the night. They have their place and it's just the way the card has worked out. It's not edge of your seat but it's intriguing to see how the young fighter paces himself over the 6.

 

still he is the way more skilled fighter, clearly capable of knocking this guy out or beating him up and he is fighting hand cuffed
