It's a goddamned good thing that Smith fought like a lunatic against Beterbiev, and never landed a shot. Otherwise.... well, we might've had Smith vs. Yarde today.

Also, between Bivol and Beterbiev, only one of these two men have been down as a pro, and it ain't ****ing Bivol.:deal:

If he beats Bivol there's much more of a point of carrying on at 175. I really wanted to see him test his luck at CW. Might be getting too late for that though. Fully unifying at 175 he might walk away like Khabib did.

Okay, we can see who is better only if Bivol vs Beterbiev happens. But it has to happen in this year, otherwise Beterbiev will be too old and the fight won't be legit.

Smith is not a boxer. He had no other way of approaching Beterbiev.

I disagree with you. I think Callum Johnson has power.

No guarantee that he gets past Callum Smith.

he had him hurt with the right hand around the 7th. Beterbiev's chin held up nicely. it's just too much experience in the amateurs that came through. Beterbiev is also a cardio machine.

Who gives a **** what he thinks? He never faced Smith or Bivol, so while I love Callum, he's talking out of his ass. This has zero bearing on whether Beterbiev beats Bivol or not.

300 + amateur fights Korobov couldn't make it through 2 and 4 rounds respectively in his last 2 fights when he was Beterbiev's age. His body was a wreck and her lost back to back fight on completely separate injuries

400 + amateur fights Loma has, like Korobov, Beterbiev, and Usyk who all had 300 + amateur fights, become very injury prone in his early 30s and is clearly not the fighter he was in his prime anymore.

Kovalev had about 213 amateur fights and was a shell of his former self years before he hit Beterbiev's age

GGG was way past his prime at 38

You think Usyk who didn't take up boxing until he was 15 will be as good as he is now in 2 years time when he hits 38?

These EE and fighters from former Soviet states are notorious gym rats and are known to train extremely hard all year round and when you've been doing grueling training since you were a young boy and had 300 plus amateur fights it's obviously going to take a huge toll on your body. I think doing that for 20-25 years in is the max most fighters have in them but the likes of Beterbiev and Loma have been doing it for 29-30.

I've been watching all these fighters since 2008 sans Kovalev. For 15 years and it feels longer than that.

so, he's chinny because he went down by someone who probably legit punches harder than him. I don't follow.

Bivol will win because he will just jab and move all night easily it will be boring.

Man, you really are hoping Beterbiev either loses before the Bivol fight happens, or that it's prolonged for as long as possible.
