I've noticed a pattern in Beterbiev fights that EVERYBODY ends up retiring from the fight (and in boxing really) with all their faculties in tact. They all reach a point where they just say, nah, I'm just done here, **** this, I'm quitting. It's not like hes separating their senses. He did that to Smith, but that's an outlier.

It was at least an as-good-as-vs-kovalev-yarde Yarde and he clearly likes to blow his wad for some rounds to try and get his man out of there. AB didn't look great for some rounds, and lost those ones, but he hardly got beat up. Moreso he looked like Yarde was stepping it up and AB was being beaten to the punch and couldn't find his rhythm. It didn't feel like Yarde snatched defeat from the hands of victory, either. He was pretty exhausted and you sensed he'd blown his load. Beterbiev has a relentless style and is pretty well conditioned. Bivol will need to box smart and really negate that by beating him to the punch using his great footwork, but if he lets AB swarm him he's in for a hard night. Bivol could easily have a bad night and be drowned. Prime Kovalev head to head imo is a good fight, and Kovalev has the jab to trouble AB, but it's not like he'll just tee off on AB all night and have it his own way. AB is a decorated fighter and his credentials speak for themselves. He'd make a fight of it and I think it would be a fight for the ages, but it feels more of a bad match up for Kovalev than the other way round. Kovalev is hardly going to stick and move all night keeping AB at bay. And once he does catch up with Kovalev, well his accurate and thudding attack is going to cause problems for Kovalev. Kovalev wouldnt like his durability and toughness guys, although AB does get hit and go down. There's no reason why prime for prime AB couldn't stop Kovalev late. As for AB versus Callum Smith, Arthur Beterbiev wins handily vs a guy who arguably lost to John Ryder @168. It's a pointless fight and Bivol needs to happen.

    Where is the dislike button?

That fight was out on his shield.

You want out on a mortuary stretcher.

Yarde made a real good account of himself. He has nothing to be ashamed of. Beterbiev is just on another level, and while Yarde was able to survive 7 rounds, there is no way Yarde should have been up on the cards. Beterbiev controlled this fight, and I had him up 5-2 at the time of the stoppage. Great fight. Bring on Bivol for all the marbles.

I think you care, but it should go beyond that. Being genuine and admitting to something that is extremely obvious is far more honorable than lying about it. Doesn't matter. We both know the truth.

Yarde having some early success wasn’t shocking. The guy is a good fighter. The problem against Artur is absorbing his persistence for 12 rounds. Especially if you aren’t a mover. I do think Bivol has the elixir to beat Arthur. Size skill movement. I’d favor him slightly.

No, I'm saying what I think, he had many spots of bother tonight against a guy, he was going to "easily beat." He's most likely going to fight Callum Smith next, he's his mandatory. Nothing saying he gets past Smith. If he chooses to unify... and goes with Bivol great. I'm not scared of Beterbiev getting in the ring with Bivol. I dislike Beterbiev, and don't really care who beats him. If that was Yarde today, great. That makes Kovalev look good. If it's Smith, great... I like Smith. If it's Bivol, great, I like Bivol. I do not like Beterbiev, or his style or his rabbit punches. I want him to lose. Can I be anymore honest than that?

So was Bellew vs Usyk 4-3 and we all knew Bellew wasn't seeing the final bell.

Beterbiev can not afford to waste any more time, Bivol must be next.
Fights I want to see next -
Joe Smith Jr. vs Callum Smith
    Buatsi vs Yarde
or any other combination of these 4 fighters against each other.

Fair. By early I mean first half of the fight. That fight had almost halfway to go when it ended. A long way. Beterbiev is an accumulation puncher.
