I find it rather peculiar how he gets very little love or mention in terms of PFP discussion, particularly in light of his pro and amateur accomplishments and also the mere fact that he is unified and undefeated in a shark infested division with only Bivol able to seriously challenge his supremacy.

Yarde's stock has risen hugely for that effort, I imagine once he has a comeback fight his fight after will be a big draw.

 

I can't see Beterbiev fighting for alot longer, so when the belts gets fragmented. yarde will fo for a title for a third time.

I don't seem to remember Callum Johnson getting any scrutiny when he dropped Beterbiev but then got emphatically stopped. Beterbiev has stopped 19 guys now in 19 fights, Yarde gave him a lot of trouble when he wasn't expected to, in many ways last night was a success, a career highlight, he gave a legitimate killer a hard time.

 

I don't take anything Bellew says seriously.

Tbh I give Smith more of a chance now than I did before last night. I still think he will go into his shell when he feels Beterbiev’s power though.

 

Smith was drained at 168 towards the end, he's a wide framed 6ft 3 lad so it must have been very difficult to make weight towards the end. He looks like he could be quite dangerous at 175, he nearly killed his opponent after a minute or so of making his LHW debut so I suppose he shouldn't be written off, it's just the way people are talking like he's a favourite against a guy that's smoking everyone.
