Jiminez has his best round for the fight after closing - that was special, running interference as a one-shoter wasn't going to get it done but he's managed here to win a round for me. Dalakian was hardly rousted, his measure of the range remains fine, but Jiminez knows where he needs to be.

Hopefully he can get there often enough to invite a warning for Dalakian from the referee should Dalakian persist in holding.

Jiminez cut a little above the ear, probably a clash of heads, but he doesn't care, he looks likely this round, he's pleased with last round's efforts and he's added a nice jab to the body but Dalakian outscores him through two minutes. The final minute belongs to Jiminez who has definitely sped up the pressure - he's had warnings though for pushing and forearms, he's gonna need all that though. I think this close round goes to Dalakian but either way is fine.

    Round 1: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 2: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 3: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 4: Jimenez 10-9
    Round 5: Dalakian 10-9 (close)

    49-46 Dalakian

Due to a clash of heads, Jimenez is cut to the side of his head. Jimenez has started to force the pressure in the past few rounds, making Dalakian work hard.

This was a close round but I gave it to Dalakian because I thought he landed the cleaner shots. A lot of Jimenez’s work was scrappy and he wasn’t landing much.

    Round 1: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 2: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 3: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 4: Jimenez 10-9
    Round 5: Dalakian 10-9 (close)
    Round 6: Dalakian 10-9

    59-55 Dalakian

Dalakian looks like he’ll successfully defend his World Title. Jimenez is very slow moving forwards with no head movement meaning Dalakian can land at will.

Jiminez gets a stern warning, could do without that, Dalakian nails him with a good uppercut but continues to hold inside - i don't think this is fair refereeing, holding is against the rules too. Jiminez knows his work though and he's definitely discovered how to make a fight of this.

Could see the judge's scorecards much closer but I have it 5-1 after six.

Dalakian wins this fight easily. Jimenez has nothing that can threaten him.

Good beltline shot from Dalakian in the seventh, referee giving Jiminez more chance to work when Dalakian tries to hold I think, good to see. It's hard for Jiminiez this, he's being out-boxed but the only way he's going to counter that is by bringing faster, more aggressive pressure, but that risks getting hit more - he needs to do it though, because he can't win these rounds boxing the way he is boxing right now. At best he's 5-2 down and if there's a plan to wait, they need to move in to part 2 now. If this is it, nothing less than a physical collapse from the thirty-five year old Dalakian will do it for him.

Jimenez marching forwards and has a lot of success. I think Dalakian took that round off.

Good from Jiminez in the eighth, testing Dalakian's organisation with speed of pressure, probably not throwing enough punches yet but this is what he needs. Dalakian weaves some nice punching inside, finishes on a decent uppercut, been a good punch for him that, wish he would throw it more often - Jiminez keeps that pressure on though. Hahahaha Dalakian goes over and Jiminez leans over him and mugs him off a bit. Very close round this. Very very close. Jiminez gets it for me.

    Round 1: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 2: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 3: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 4: Jimenez 10-9
    Round 5: Dalakian 10-9 (close)
    Round 6: Dalakian 10-9
    Round 7: Jimenez 10-9
    Round 8: Jimenez 10-9

    77-75 Dalakian

This will be interesting on the cards because some judges will reward Jimenez’s pressure over the technical skill of Dalakian.

I don’t think either fighter troubles any of the top flyweights, especially with Dalakian being 35.

Bit of a tear up to open the ninth. Dalakian lets Jminiez go a little too long before tying him up and loses out on the exchange. Jiminez gets caught with an uppercut and a right hand that just chills him right out though and he surrenders the round. That's a real shame, that was a huge round and Jiminez was in control for a spell. Comeback was on if he could have kep that minute one pressure up. Dalakian is too classy though.
