    Scary thing is he's still with it. He's energetic even in that post fight interview.

    Smith doesn't fight to his height so why does it matter? Beterbiev had the better jab as well.

    Iam skeptical about almost every fighter these days if you know everyone else is at it and getting away with it.
    Eggs tainted meat and wild boar I mean they don’t even have to be good excuses you just have to stick to your story no matter what and eventually it will get forgotten about

    Beterbiev has been calling out Bivol for a long time. Now, there is really nowhere to hide.

    Canelo is a ducker. He waited many years to age GGG and still got his arse kicked. He hasn't fought Benavidez, and he chooses easier and stylistically preferable fights. Look at his resume.

    We will forget about Conor's failed tests over time and as he fights more regularly.

    Canelo has ten times more balls. I'm sick of the Canelo hate. GGG was still in his prime or very close to it. He went up and fought him and Bivol.

    He still needs room to move, yes he does typically crouch down and fight small, but that he was not something he could realistically avoid doing in a ring this small. You need a bigger ring to have a realistic chance to beat Artur. You need breathing room. And I got news for you, Bivol better demand a big ring, because in a ring this small, Bivol ain't gonna be able to do his usual stuff either.

    He fought GGG 17 months after winning the MW title at a CW of 155 that Cotto requested.

    What do you mean years??

    No, I read it, but it contradicted the bit about Buddy being gunshy, which is what I was referring to.

    Here's the problem with that argument. Yes Beterbiev has a harder more devasating jab. But Smith had no ability to use his reach advantage, to keep him at range, to control him with his jab, because he had no ability to use the ring, forget about footwork, just backing up a step or two, throw out the jab, keep him at range, instead he's forced to curl up into a fetal position and use upper body movement. Some upper body movement was good but he had to over use upper body movement because he had no room to do anything else.

    Despite it all, Smith had some success backing Beterbiev up and opened up when he really loaded up, but then it all became too predictable when Beterbiev realized that was all he could do because he had no room to back up and reset.

    @Reg

    In other words, the center of the ring was reduced helping Beterbiev cut the ring.

    I think Smith would have had more success with a bigger ring no doubt, Bivol won't allow a ring that small if they fight.
