Agreed. Bivol took far more damage. Maybe he won 7 or even 8 evenish rounds on some peoples cards, but he still took heavy leather in all of them. The four Beterbiev rounds were dominant.

Not a satisfying result against a 40 year old ATG. For me the torch didn't pass, and it adds a lot of 'what if' to Beterbiev.

Currently, this is the 3rd longest RBR thread btw. It's narrowly eclipsed by the Day of Reckoning card which had 4,214 responses.

Full props to Bivol. He won IMO and he's the Undisputed Champ. I won't trash him. But I do disagree with your assessment.

Beterbiev in his prime doesn't blow his load.

He ran out of gas by going hard in rounds 4, 5 and 6. I didn't expect that because AB typically keeps a hard pace for 12. But tonight, at age 40, he could not sustain that pace.

He went 10 very hard rounds against Gvozdyk. That fighter is gone.

Yes Beterbiev is old and a prime version would stop Bivol but it's remarkable he was even able to perform at the level he did at his age against a way younger, faster, top 4 or maybe too 3 P4P super skilled elite like Bivol who is the worst stylistic match up out there for him. Name another 40 y/o who can do that? You're going to have to give that some thought because it sure as hell doesn't happen often at all

That’s not how I saw it, Bivol was staying in there and exchanging a lot more and finishing the rounds stronger rather than moving out of range and fighting on the back foot like he did in the first fight, he was aware that beterbiev won the first fight by being the aggressor, but he didn’t let him this time, he was answering beterbievs pressure with his own but with more volume and more accuracy.
He clearly studied the first fight and he did exactly what he needed to convince the judges.
Beterbiev didn’t quite make the same adjustments in as far as his style like bivol did but he applied the pressure earlier and didn’t let bivol take as many of the early rounds.
I thought it was absolutely insane that fight I loved every second of it

I particularly like how they've learned to roll the fights out quicker with literally a 5-10 minute wait between bouts , it's defo something they've taken onboard and improved upon , I like the 'RING' livery set up as well ,these cards are the bollox .
