It's an intriguing fight for sure. On another note, after the fights, I'm going to see our friend Jerry Cantrell live. What an amazing day of boxing and music! My two favorite things.

 

Despite the two cancelled fights, the card is still awesome, packed from top to bottom. Now is it the greatest card of all time? Hmm, depends how good the fights will be. You have an undisputed title fight, which is arguably the best possible fight you can make in boxing. Plus two other title fights. The record for most title fights on a card is the "Night of the Undisputed" promoted by Don King, and which featured Hopkins vs Joppy and Mayorga vs Spinks, and five other title fights - total of seven fights. Although I think this card is better than the aforementioned one by Don King. The 1994 Revenge card had five title bouts. The Charlo bros' card in 2020 also featured five title fights. I think this is the card with the most interim belts on one show - four total bouts: Buatsi-Smith, Zhang-Kabayel, Ortiz-Madrimov & Parker-Bakole - interim-mania!

Padley and Bakole do deserve props for taking such short notice fights. For Padley, he will probably never have to fix another solar panel in his life. While for Bakole this sure beats fighting the M23 in the jungles of Congo.

 

As much as King epitomized evil, he sure did promote some stacked cards back in the 90s.

Almaayouf is a brutal KO waiting to happen, I don't care how much money they are spending on Buddy McGirt as his trainer
