I wish Beterbiev was 30 and we could see him fight the likes of Canelo, Smith, Briedis, Okolie, Bivol etc.

 

Just watched the full fight on YouTube, will be sad when Beterbiev retires, he’s my favourite fighter to watch right now. Was so cool calm and collected in that last round to stop Browne.

I reckon there are a lot of amateur trainers that tell thier fighters to go and watch Beterbiev

 

Brown is from the “new school” of classless punk fighters. Look at how classless Wilder and Teo Lopez handled their respective loss after their last fight. Punks.

 

2 words to describe that fight. Brutal, and Beautiful. Needed a fight like this to witness before Jake Paul and Woodley disgrace the sport yet again. Artur is an animal. A beast. To continue on (cool calm and collected) with a GASH like that was impressive to say the very least. I think he gives Canelo nightmares in his sleep. In terms of Marcus Browne, he fought tough and brought it for sure. But to not congratulate Artur after was terrible. After a fight like that from Marcus, it was sad to see that. Could have been a bigger man and said "hey, great fight". But didn't. Shame to see

 

Only thing that would have made this fight any better was if the canvas was white and not red. Imagine the scene lol

Canelo maybe has the skills to make Artur look ordinary at times, but the biggest problem for Alvarez, is HIS current style of methodically breaking down his opponent, with chopping body blows with full power simply won't work with Beterbiev, and it will be Alvarez in the mid rounds that will become the hunted. IMO he would have to change his style back to something more like GGG I and look to get to the cards, where we would be expecting a decision. The question then is can Canelo keep Beterbiev off him enough to not be stopped? Whilst Alvarez has a granite chin, I'm not sure his ribs and liver can stand up the same way.

Of course, Artur looked a bit slow and rusty in the first couple of rounds here, but his work from round 5 onwards was really impressive to me - some great shot selection, nice steps to create angles for the combos.

Imagine,just imagine that was the plan all along (post fight imterview his trainer said exactly that)but Brown i think is the fastest boxer in the division and maybe the most dirty too.
