    Yep I agree with this.

An early loss doesn't mean much. Look at DeGale after losing to Groves, he's now close to a title shot. Same with Tua when he lost to Ibeabuchi. If you are good enough then you will come back from an early set back, a loss in boxing does not mean the end of a career.

Wish we had more fighters with the self belief and desire to do this. Yes there is a risk and a loss is a setback but it's worth the risk because a win can take you to the next level.

In the case of Beterbiev though, he would probably dismantle several guys at the top (look what happened to Cloud) so matching Page with Beterbiev is really risky if not suicidal.

The hype train will hopefully end here. There's a 10% chance it'll happen but damn I hope it does

Not sure about that yet. Cloud clearly packed it in, and came for the check. Those punches lacked concusiveness. Not saying Beterbiev isn't a great prospect, but I need to see a bit more than Cloud who hasn't done **** in years, packing it in and calling it a night.

Well I'm sure they want to.
They don't make money if he doesn't fight.

I'd be happy to see Page surprise to the upside- a competitive match would tell us more about both fighters than another early KO would. :good

The sound of those punches is like when pitchers warm up in the bullpen.
Would hate to be on the receiving end :scaredas:

Page has claimed that he would have equaled Beterbiev's amateur success if he had not chosen college instead. If you call playing football at some obscure JC in the middle of nowhere college.

Is that the current state of Murican boxing? Some guy who played footbal at a JC is going to save you from the evil Ruskies.
