    Fair enough.

But here we are talking about a fighter who hasn't even had 9 fights.

It's crazy how fast they're moving him. He actually wanted to move faster but I think there's a rule in place in Quebec that prohibits fighters from taking part in title match ups until they've had five fights. I can't remember too much about it now but it was something along those lines.

Yeah, he beat Kovalev in the ams, although the margin of victory couldn't have been any closer. He won a 25-24 decision over him in the Russian national championships. There have been rumours circulating that he actually beat him twice, but that was said to be untrue during the broadcast the other night. He beat loads of top quality amateurs and established pros during his tenure in the unpaid ranks though, stopping many of them too. His amateur CV is very impressive indeed. He was robbed in major championships numerous times too, losing to the eventual gold medalist everytime.

During the BOXNATION broadcast on Saturday night, Steve Bunce said that Ovill McKenzie told him that Beterbiev does hitting tires with sledge hammer training like this. lol

Yeah, like I said, Bute is a gentleman and Dirrell was way out of order there. It was said without any provocation on Bute's part either. Bute's always been respectful towards his rivals and opponents.

    Serge,

    I've not heard of this.

They must have a lot of faith in him.

I'll have to look into his background.

Unfortunately it's not the sport it once was.

Apparently they sparred each other very recently.

'Main Events intends to do everything to put his boxers at the forefront in the under-card of 14 March.

Kathy Duva of promoter indicated that it had launched an invitation to slugger Artur Beterbiev (7-0, 7 K.-O) so he faces his protégé, Malawian Isaac Chilemba (23-2, 10 K.- O) during the evening.

"There is a chance that it could happen because it would be a good fight, Duva said. I am also convinced that HBO would be pleased to present this duel.

"Chilemba wanted this confrontation even before seeing Beterbiev win against Jeff Page son last Saturday. He would like to have this chance. "

However, promoter Yvon Michel said Friday night that his boxer would be the star of a gala to be presented in February. It would therefore be surprising that Beterbiev obtain two important fights in just the space of a month.

Also, do not forget that Chilemba served as Training Partner Chechen in recent weeks. '

Yeah, his amateur career and gym sessions have impressed them a lot

I don't mind a bit of smack talk during the build up to a fight now and again, especially if it's genuinely witty and good banter, but I do like to see fighters show each other mutual respect when all is said and done after the final bell though. There are a very few fighters who can get away with being really unnecessarily disrespectful to their opponent in my book. A young Roberto Duran was one of them and that's only because he had a touch of that Keyser Soze type pure evil and menace mystique about him. lol

I'd like to see how Beterbiev handles someone who is 6'4 and can punch. Enzo Maccarinelli would be a good fight. I'd like to see that. Maccarinelli could end up being problematic for Beterbiev

    Latest news:

By a sports journalist VAT: Nancy Audet https://twitter.com/naaudet_TVA

-- Storm on the horizon would be very tense relations between Artur Beterbiev and GYM Group. Will you card on April 4?

-- Artur Beterbiev : left the training camp of Pascal (Big Bear). It would have contractual problems with its promoter

--- Beterbiev preferred to leave the camp because he did not feel he had the necessary preparation for his next fight.

    --------------------------------------------------------------------
    My Opinion :

I think Gym Yvon Michel is in the process of losing control. He lost Pascal , Lemieux.
I think Gym will also lose Beterbiev.

Crikey, that's not good at all. I do hope it's not going to keep him out of action at all. Thanks for the heads up though.
