I like AB but don’t sleep on the Pimp. He was a pretty tough guy in his prime and I could see this fight going either way. He would have ducked AB like he ducked prime Kov so it’s a moot point.

I think Beterbiev takes him, as well. Just wanted to see if one of the lads on here could make a case for the Pimp. In his pomp, Stevenson was a fast handed, explosive southpaw whose guile and ability to set himself up gets underrated IMO. There's a reason he was able to hold onto his title in his twilight years - and yes, his opposition left a lot to be desired, I reckon, the pimpshow was a real talent. Those long limbs generated some real force when he went in with his punch. Like a southpaw Wilder but with better basics.

That said, the Pimp's chin doesn't seem to match Beterbiev's, and the pressure which Beterbiev would subject him to does seem like something that could make a power-puncher fold, if they're not up to it. Think a Villasana-Garza or Shavers-Cobb situation.

I have much more faith in Beterbiev's ability to pick himself up and get back into it; breaking down Adonis and stopping late, than I do Stevenson doing the same. Nor do I have the same level of faith in Stevenson taking Beterbiev out early, either.

Beterbiev wears down the one dimensional pimp and brutally KTFO around the 9th.

If The Nail were successful then AB would be too.

Adonis ducked Kovalev his entire career and we know why after he fought the Nail. AB would have destroyed the Pimp. He had a big left hand that saved him numerous times over mediocre opponents, not world class fighters like Artoor.
