Bad judging personified. Atoev was holding after round 2 most of the time and was hurt several times. Beterbiev got robbed plain and simple. Nice jab to the body as well

Had Beterbiev got the decision there he would've been a two time world amateur champion. He lost by 4 points in the 2011 world championships to the eventual gold medalist Usyk too. He lost to the eventual gold medalist in the Beijing Olympics as well, and that was a robbery against the Chinese representative Zhang. I think he'd previously beaten like at least three of Zhang's opponents in those games too.

He beat the guy (Kenny Egan) who lost a controversial decision to Zhang in the final too, once by stoppage. And he lost to Usyk by 4 points at the 2012 Olympics as well, again Usyk went on to win the gold. So he lost in four major championships to the eventual gold medalist each time, and two of them were highly controversial. Even one of the loses against Usyk was razor close and some felt he did enough.

This is his fight against Zhang from the Beijing Olympics, if you thought Atoev held a lot watch this.
