Artur Beterbiev vs Callum Smith rescheduled for January 13

Smith doesn't want to risk it....he pulled out of his fight in March with an 'injury' so he could protect his spot against Beterbiev.

Age is catching upto Beterbiev but he stays sharp in the gym and doesnt balloon up in weight. As long as he is hitting his numbers in the gym and still blasting sparring partners he is still a force.

This last injury was a tooth infection which spread to his jaw and would take at least 2-4 weeks of strong antibiotics to clear up. His stomach would have been on fire and his body really weakened. I had the same happen to me years ago and I lost my sense of taste for over a month. My tongue felt metallic and body felt very weak.

I wouldn't wish it on anyone

 

Save the division? He'll end up losing to someone like Canelo or John Ryder again
