Surely deserves another shot imo. Waited about for years only to get 48 hours notice while in congo while out of camp for a guy thats had the best camp of his life.

Deserves the opportunity to rebuild in a decent fight next. Sometimes excuses are justified. This is one of them times i,d have thought.

the one thing i'm wondering about is if you're getting one punch ko'd by joey twelve parker something can't be right, the bloke hasn't knocked anyone out decent in his career. I'm not a boxer so i dont know about the camp and travel etc what effect that has on the punch resistance. Must have some effect, but makes me wonder.

Deserves another decent fight for saving the co-main but him and his team now need to calm down with how good he is. Do you think Usyk/Fury/Dubois would get knocked out in 2 rounds by Parker with a few days notice?

Bakole being out of shape and not having any sparring will effect his ability to take shots. Add in the fact that Parker has bulked up since his last fight, and it was a full blooded overhand right on the top of the head with Bakole walking onto it, then it was always going to do damage.

All things considered, I don't think we can read too much into this fight. I'd like to see Bakole in against another decent contender after a full camp to really see where he is at. You never know, the embarrassment of this might give Bakole the kick up the arse to drop some serious weight.

What nobody has mentioned on here (I think) or on TV is that Beterbiev has failed in 24 Rounds to drop Bivol.

    After dropping everyone else.

Benevidez is the only one who could muster up some sort of a challenge to both fighters... but he'll still lose.

Bivol has now beaten Ramirez (CW World Champ), Canelo, Beterbiev.

    Resumé!!

I'm gutted, I've rated Bakole so highly and tonight was embarrassing. Everyone knows he took the fight on short notice, he got there a few hours before the fight etc but he stated he was going to shock people and knock Parker out. I believed him.

Let's see how he looks when he returns. He will have a full camp behind him and we will see. But yeah @billy nelson needs to pipe down a little.

Bivol is clearly tough, but he also doesn't get hit fully flush that often. Certainly, not when fighting like he does against Beterbiev. His movement makes Beterbiev have to either reset or throw whilst moving, lessening the power. Also, Bivol's quick reactions enables him to ride a lot of the shots that do connect.

Bivol truly is a great boxer. Defensively, he doesn't look as flashy as fighters like Mayweather, Toney or Canelo, but he just does the simple things really well; high, tight guard, subtle head movement to slip shots, parries well. He's also defensively astute when attacking and will then spin away and not stand there in range admiring his work.

Thats the thing about light heavy. After Bivol and Beterbiev the drop off in levels is crazy. Benevidez would probably be an entertaining fight for both but I can't see him beating either man. After that no-one is coming close.

I've really enjoyed both fights so I would love to see a third. I would be picking Bivol for the win but I would never write Beterbiev off.

Pretty sure its a massive diadvantage not having any sort of camp being massively overweight....flying to saudi the night before...trying to fight a guy thats had his most important training camp possibly ever.

A lot of its styles. Furys style and size would keep him in the fight longer without a camp. Usyk,s style would keep him in longer. Dubois could go in 2 without a camp.

You cant fight without a camp on 2 days notice. Overweight. Flight over from congo arriving at 2am the night before when the other guys had a camp like parker has.

I think their also teaching parker when too throw in order to get the stoppage more for this/dubois fight. They,ve been working on it for a bit. Parkers always been one paced and predictable with his power. Their mixing it up more now.

Bakole even when fit is a lot more susceptible to getting put over than fury/usyk/dubois cause he doesnt have any kind of foot speed to get out the way. Add to that no camp...overweight...jet lagged. No preparation for parker whatsoever. The worst case scenario is the juries out on bakole. Tbf it always has been. Tonight didnt really answer anything tho.

The boy deserves a decent fight next with a decent camp before we can really judge his position. Suspect decent punchers will put him over fit or not tbf. But its silly to suggest he shouldnt get opportunities now off the back of the build up to the fight he,s had.

Yeah something cant be right....maybe no camp. No preparation for parker. No sparring. Flight arriving at 2am. Overweight. Maybe thats the something that cant be right.

Or maybe hes not very good.

Regardless tho too many things against him going in to declare he shouldnt get another big fight opportunity.

Deserves a fair shot imo. Get him a camp and get him in with someone decent and we,ll find out one way or the other.

I hope Dave Coldwell never commentates on an elite fight again,

Spoke absolute dross, and his fanboying of Bivol was embarrassing

Even with a full camp, Bakole has always had zero head movement and average feet. He become lineal world sparring champion with big headgear and in smalll rings. This was always going to happen to Tubby McCustard of the Congo.
