If it goes to points you'd expect Bivol, for KO you'd expect Beterbiev. A few years ago it would have one-sided for Beterbiev, but Bivol has improved, Beterbiev has declined somewhat. I picked Artur to win by KO but honestly it's a 50/50 fight. I can see that Bivol is a machine, and has sufferedlittle damage from last nights fight so you know what to expect from him. Who wi s maybe comes down to how much Artur has left in the tank.
Let's just say there's a reason, which none of the media members at the post fight press conference seem to understand, that Bivol is not crowning himself king after beating Canelo. Bivol knows he has to face Beterbeef and knows that it is a much, much harder fight than Canelo. Bivol's biggest victory last night was against the judges. He was always going to jab Canelo's face in. Beterbiev fight will be the defining moment of his career.
They both are the only version that can beat them, Beterbiev can't be beaten from someone with power, you should have great technique and amazing defensive skills to handle that accuracy and power for 12 rounds, no one was able to do that till now.And Bivol can't be beaten on points, he's too untouchable and skillful, if we don't count the corrupt judges, i can't remember someone winning more then 2 rounds and even 1 clear round against Bivol.Only someone like Beterbiev could beat him, and Beterbiev could be beaten only by someone like Bivol on the scorecards.
Bivol beats him. He had to have Marcus Browne stationary to tee off. He looked clumsy when Marcus actually used movement. Had Browne tried to move around the ring instead of lay on the ropes looking to counter Beterbiev he would've done much better. Gvozdyk also exchanged with Beterbiev several times in the fight. Bivol will not. He will keep in simple and outclass him at range for 12 rounds and avoid laying on the ropes by any means necessary, preferably spinning off. He might have 1 or 2 scary moments but Bivol has incredible survival instincts, a trait he has that is heavily underrated The writings on the wall. Beterbiev has that Foreman hype for KOing a durable giy like Smith in 2, but Smith came right at him. Bivol will frustrate him and make him miss almost all of those short range clubbing shots
Bivol and Beterbiev shouldn't fight each other. They're both from the East block. They should fight boxers from the West and show which boxing school is better, East or West. In this matter, Ukrainians and Russians shouldn't fight each other either.
