Prieto was meant to be a legit challenger. Beterbiev will be 32 years old next month. It's time to see him in there with someone who can actually give him a challenge.
Prieto's a good fighter and he has a solid chin and heavy hands. He gave the undefeated Eleider Alvarez everything he could handle before he gassed and he hurt him on a couple of occasions. Beterbiev just blew right through him with utter ease in a round. Beterbiev's power is frightening.
Not at all. Prieto went down sprawled over the ropes and couldn't hold himself up. Ref started counting and Preito tried standing back up but pulled a Judah and fell back down.
So Artur Beterbiev is like all European fighters? Spends his career facing bums and European "boxing" fans get excited. When he gets in the ring with somebody who isn't washed up or a bum let me know.
I absolutely love the fact that beyond a clean boxing approach like that from the amateurs, Beterbiev is down and ready to win by manhandling his opponents and just roughing them up. Who has the blueprint do deal with/avoid that?
Indeed, Beterbiev needs to fight a seasoned veteran, someone such as Roy Jones Jr for example. Roy Jones needs to fight someone with a World ranking if he plans to break Hopkins record.
He got rounds from Alexander Johnson, more accurately Beterviev allowed Johnson to stick around early in the 7th.
You need someone with pure skills and a lot of power to outbox him and keep him from just walking in. Kovalev has a good chance, I believe. That would be a great fight imo
