Based on what? One bad performance where he got his jaw broken in the second round and still hung in there and went the distance. Do you remember what happened in the first round? He nearly took Barrera's head off, had he not suffered the injury, that match would have ended up being a lot more interesting. As far as his other two trips to world level, against Fonfara and Hopkins, they turned out splendidly for him.
well same can be said when you want to exchange with Beterbiev. he's the harddest puncher p4p. Beterbiev had over 300 am's fights he clearly seen all style multiple times. and he have a tremendous experience agaist hard hitter and skilled boxer. Gvozdyk, Kovalev, Usyk, Dorticos and as pro agaist Johnson, Prieto and cloud. Only one to beat him is Usyk and Beterbiev was turning it around. Usyk body was breaking down in both fights.
Smith should be a 5-1 underdog. in theory this is a step up from Callum Johnson but I would favour Johnson over Smith.
In big legal trouble due to a 3rd case of "criminal" domestic violence and violating a restraining order.
I believe Joe is a live dog in this one. Smith put down Beterbiev with what appeared to be a glancing blow
It's a decent scalp. Johnson & Smith are two decent back to back opponents.. No problem with this fight.
I actually addressed the Barrera fight in another comment and why I feel they should fight again... As for Fonfara, they're the same level, Fonfara is just far more fragile. Remember, he was being thoroughly outboxed by the corpse of Chad Dawson and hit a home run in the final. And Hopkins, let's be honest he was gonna lose to anyone sniffing around the top 10 at the point.
