Interesting matchup. I am genuinely not sure. Gassiev hasn't impressed me at all in the last several years. But, he is significantly bigger than Beterbiev. I would pay to watch this one!
I am sure they have sparred at Big Bear when Sanchez en Golovkin were training. Beterbiev was a well known amateur and Golovkin also a very decorated amateur, they knew each other. Gassiev was training with Sanchez. It would not suprise me if they sparred together. I know golovkin and beterbiev have sparred.
I’d heavily favor Beterbiev. Gassiev is strong, but is very limited, so I see Beterbiev’s vast experience and his jab being all wrong for Gassiev.
