How does it go boys ?

  1. Shavers by savage KO. Beterbiev has no chance. This is a mismatch

Well the 216lbs 70'' reach Ron Stander did against Shavers when he knocked him out in 5 rounds

As did the 202lbs 72'' reach Jeremey Quarry when he iced Shavers in a round

And, as said, Beterbiev weighing 185-187lbs, gave 78'' master boxer HW Usyk hell

When did I say he wasn't?

Like the 78'' reach master boxer Usyk did in the amateurs against his ''toughest opponent''?

Agree. But that's all Wilder has - one trick. Zero versatility.

Based on what? Shavers failed to kayo plenty of little guts including light heavyweight Rondon.
Beterbiev likely could bomb Shavers out early, little Quarry did.

Well, after reading this if Beterbiev can't get a Canelo fight I'm sure he'll move up to heavyweight and release his dynamite bombs on the division capturing a world title.
I find it interesting that a fighter I think would get destroyed by Spinks, Foster ,Saad and many light heavyweights could beat the Earnie Shavers that fought and really pressed Holmes and Ali. Heck I'm not certain Beterbiev could beat Tarver at 175

He lost basically every round to Holmes but one and fought an Ali that was totally shot. I don't really see how that is some impressive accomplishment on Shavers part. Plenty of todays light heavies enter the ring in the 190s and were heavyweights by the standards of Shavers era.

Beterbiev not moving to heavyweight today doesn't have much bearing on how he would do against the far smaller heavies of earlier eras who by todays standards are light heavies and cruiserweights.

Funny thing is make this matchup Shavers vs Marciano and no one would bat an eye at the size disparity and Marciano would likely be odds on favourite to KO Earnie. But tiny little 185lbs Beterbiev is suddenly too small to compete.

Do we know Beterbiev's ring weights? I wouldn't be surprised if he was coming into the ring at 190 or so.

Listen,,he's done absolutely nothing to make me think he'd be a dangerous fighter at 200 pounds.

There are light heavyweights that enter the ring close to 200, some of the guys he has beaten likely weigh close to 200 at fight time so about as big as someone like Quarry who beat Shavers.

Heck! it's not even a given that he'd beat that midget Canelo at 175!

Bernard Hopkins had no problem with Tarver and he jumped up from 160lbs to do it with ease.

Head to head, Beterbiev is a monster and competitive in any LHW era.

Oh he'd be competitive, but the real monsters at light heavyweight would be too much for him. I'd take Qawi to beat him
