Beterbiev had one of the highest KO rates in amateurs:

I think that Beterbiev is one of the hardest punchers in the computarized scoring era in amateur boxing (1989-2012).

    He was born a puncher.

He can put your lights out even if he is wearing those big ass pillow and you are wearing a headguard.

    Awesome and natural power.

It's a shame his pro career stalled after the initial rocket start. But now you can't look past him anymore.

Its always funny to me when ppl that never wore a pair of “big ass pillow” gloves say just that, they are not as big as you think and I can promise you that they hurt just as much as whatever gloves you not think are not “big ass pillow”.

Oh, and do you know how headgears work?

Pls go to your closest boxing gym and do a class, better yet, ask to spar and use the same 12oz gloves you think is “big ass pillow”, feel free to use headgear, then come back and tell if it hurt or not. Hopefully by then you can stop being disrespectful to boxers

You’re a special kind of ******ed huh?

12oz “pillow gloves” is only 2 oz more than pro gloves, sure the weight is distributed a little different, the amateur 12oz have most of the weight on the knuckles which makes them look thicker but they are still very capable of putting your lights out. Ppl gets KO’d from 16oz gloves in sparring often. Actually, it might been 10oz Betebiev had on when he fought amateur so same weight as of now.

Headgear protects boxers from cuts and headbutts and do not protect the boxers from getting knocked out since it do not protect the face.

Beterbiev is a BEAST. Should be a bigger name. But the American media don't want a Russian to be a star in the USA

It's hilarious how the LDBC and Yank boxing fans hype up mediocre fighters like the Charlos like they are great fighters. Yet a elite beast in Beterbiev is unknown except to hardcore boxing fans.

LOL, America gives opportunities to loads of fighters, no matter their background.

GGG and Lomachenko have both made lucrative careers in America. Beterbiev is earning well too.

If they were fighting back in Eastern Europe / Russia, they wouldn't be paid anywhere near as much.

American fighters will always get more publicity... Americans will cheer on Americans, that's patriotism.

What American fighters are getting opportunities they don't deserve in your opinion?
