That Beterbiev pushup is easy for me. Kovalev does’em too and I’ve always liked to do pushups on my fingers(including clap pushups) so it’s always been an easy thing. That pushups and clapping three times though, there a trick to it? I think you use more legs and jolt? The Loma handstand, forget it, let alone pushups like that, would take practice.
These eastern Europeans and central Asians (basically ex-Soviets) are just shitting all over everyone except some Africans when it comes to pure athleticism.
I've tried em plenty and most times I end up winding myself badly by smashing my ribcage into the ground repeatedly as I fail over and over at it.
Whats scary is that people like Beterbiev, Lomachenko are in shape all year around. No alcohol, no drugs, no vices; always in condition and ready to go the distance. Its also why Floyd was so successful; despite all the stuff-for-camera he always kept his body in shape and lived clean.
I’ve actually done this, lol. Been doing clap pushups until I’m all out and the last one came out like that. Valuable lesson was learned that day.
The trick is to do it on a frozen lake and cut a big hole in the ice where your face is going to crash into if you fail.
Trick is to either not go all out or have a pillow under you As far as motivation not to screw up goes, your way is better of course, lol
