His body attack was more effective than it has been in the past...but I agree that this fight was Theatre of the Expected.

I don't deny that, considering Bryant Jennings had fewer amateur bouts than Wilder, maybe he is a disaster waiting to happen.

Doesn't change the fact he has a better pro record than Deontay

Ruiz Jr. has more natural talent, perhaps...But Jennings is a bit more refined at present and doesn't get hit as much. We'll know for sure when Ruiz steps up in class.

The first few rounds were close until Jennings established the control. Once Szpillka found out that he couldn't out-muscle Jennings, his punch output became lower and it was clear that Jennings is the better fighter.

As for Jennings future, he's a top 10 contender now. He has proved that he's a good fighter and willing to take the risk in order to progress. However, he's not at the level of guys like Haye, Povetkin or Pulev for example. Also, he would have a lot of difficulties dealing with the big and tall guys, like Tyson Fury for example. I think think that he could defeat Adamek at this point consider that Adamek is way past his best days. That would be great for him if he managed to get that fight.

Anyway, most of the top 10 guys are unavailable for him this year, so it would be nice if he fights someone from top 20 next. Also, if Wladimir Klitschko doesn't get the WBC unification fight this year, it's likely that he will offer the fight to some of the American fights, and he'd likely pick either Wilder or Jennings, assuming they stay undefeated.

Jennings was in control the entire fight, and closed the show in dominant fashion. He's very well composed to only have been fighting for 5 years, and getting better with each fight.

My take is that 2 years from now we won't look at this as a big win. I don't see Spzilka ever defeating anyone of note.

He'll probably go back home and get a couple prop-him-up wins and then he'll do the opponent circuit.

That's to take nothing away from Jennings, who I like, but I don't even think this was his best opponent.

It's not that Spzilka's stamina is so bad. It's that he wastes so much damn energy with useless movement while throwing no punches. Ward commented at one point that Jennings was taking 1 step to every 3 of Spzilka. Artur seems uncomfortable in a pro ring, a ton of wasted effort and movement. And his power is overrated, even by himself. I don't see a lot in his future. He's just not mentally correct for the game on next level.

I knew that Spzilka had a glass chin, not much stamina either. However, Jennings should campaign for a fight with Wilder, I think Jennings would knock Wilder out. Spzilka needs to hire another trainer, he has some natural talent, but he was put on the canvas by Mollo! LOL! Mollo is a bum...............I was surprised at how easy it was to land a punch on Jennings, he did not look as good as he usually does...........Vlad would knock him out easily...............

Jennings despite having far fewer amateur fights displayed more overall boxing technical skills. I figured Jennings would win via decision but that was mainly due to my overestimation of Spila's experience.

Jennings is one of those fighters who is good at doing a lot of things but not great at anything. He also appears to be a smart fighter. There are some decent options for Jennings' future. Hopefully, I'll have the chance to watch him box again.

A Oleksandr Usyk vs Szpila would be an interesting step for Usyk but since Usyk is mainly a cruiserweight I don't look for it to happen. However, even with Usyk's limited professional experience, I still think he would beat Szpila.

My overall take on recent heavyweight boxing: if Klitschko doesn't slip on a banana peel, he could stay champion for a while yet.
