Artur Szpilka vs. Sergei Oleksandrovych Radchenko & Paweł Stępień vs. Geard Ajetovic RBR

39 year old Ajetovic of Serbia has never been stopped in the pros; hell I'm not sure anybody has ever knocked him down.

Stępień is 12-0-1 (11) and stands at 6'1½″ - five inches over the 5'8½″ Ajetovic. He also put the solid Dmitry Sukhotsky down for the count, so he might be a real menace to Ajetovic's spotless record (of either winning or lasting the distance; he does have 23 losses already, so the goal isn't outpointing him and it wouldn't be all that much of a statement to become the now two dozenth person to do so)

Kind of boring. Taller, younger, more active man just laying a drubbing on the high turtle shell. Ajetovic waiting his turn and then looping in a few body shots here and there.

Nope, born and raised USA. Don't even have any Polish ancestry that I know of, although I am sort of a mongrel (with a little bit of virtually every haplogroup north of the Maghreb and west of the Caucasus ..mostly Italian and British Isles, but a smörgåsbord of random other stuff too... my ancestors were a bunch of horny and well-traveled fuckers I guess)

Feels like a light spar.

 

Stępień beginning to light Ajetovic up with straight combos now...you could maybe start making the argument for a Calzaghe vs. Manfredo type of ref stoppage, as the attacking is very one-sided, but very little getting through cleanly, except a pattering on the bald dome of the old Serb as he clamps his forearms over his face and hunches down with his elbows covering his stomach while getting backed into the ropes & corners.

This size difference is crazy. Even the ref is starting to look bored, reacting a few moments belatedly when they need to push apart from a clinch. Stępień just taking it easy, lobbing jabs and right crosses into the guard. Ajetovic letting himself be guided around the ring, blocking 90% of what Stępień throws but not firing back except with some clubbing overhands in the occasional clinch.

Sam Soliman? He makes Ajetovic seems like a spring chicken; isn't he almost 50? Didn't realize he was even still fighting.
