...next Saturday versus TBA, in a six-rounder at middleweight, after 2½ years' absence from the ring. The former welterweight prospect had just been starting to step up in class, with a gift draw against Mike Dallas Jr. followed by a credible UD victory over Thomas "Cornflake" LaManna in 2016 before he was derailed by various issues (from mismanagement to legal troubles including a gun arrest). He was supposed to stage comebacks on at least two prior occasions that I know of in 2018 alone. If he was still able to make 147 and enjoying that height & length advantage over most of his peers it would be one thing, but I think Dusty is climbing uphill if he wants to reinvent himself at middleweight, having not been a massive puncher as it was. He is still young, at least, only 25, and has a deep amateur background (with a 167-30 record). Be interesting to see what comes of this...
I had a bet on him in that last bout there before he completely dissapeared. He's talented, sure, but at middleweight? I feel like this is going to be a real ask of him.
Dusty is headlining a card in Maryland tonight, and should be in the ring about now (every other bout on the card has a result up on BoxRec)... no live stream on FaceBook or anything that I can find.
