Gatti is a bit unfairly called a club fighter by some here, not seeing that, but Greg is too tough and tricky to get drawn into the kind of fight Gatti needs in order to win. Haugen on points.
Should be 15 rounds Seamus...the pleasure of watching Haugen outbox and bamboozle Gatti would be prolonged. A one sided drubbing...Greg thoroughly trounces Gatti.
How could you ever call Gatti trash after all he gave to the sport of boxing? The man came up the hard way and earned everything that he achieved. I think Haugen might be a little too much-good chin and a nice set of boxing skills. However in the 1rst bout vs Paz Vinny landed some good shots on Haugen and if Gatti lands like that he could win.
I don't feel pity for Gatti. He made the HOF over COUNTLESS fighters more deserving, and the boxing community pretends like the reason for such isn't so apparent. He had the complexion for the election.
Haugen is more skilled and, all things being equal, would do to Gatti what he did to Pazienza in the first two fights. But.... Haugen fought early in the era of day before weigh ins and I don't think that he bothered to master the skill of weighing in and then rehydrating a huge amount. Gatti was a master of the art. He weighed 160 as a junior welterweight against Gamache. He was in the 140s, at least, against Ruelas as a junior lightweight. So he would probably enter the ring at 150-155 against Haugen, who would probably be about 137.
That’s just retracted I hope you get booted for inflammatory racist language Moron. Gatti thats just ******ed, I hope you get booted for racist language.. and Gattis skin tone was pretty dark and he was a Sicilian immigrant. Hardly the archetypal white fighter
