    Good fight Burt....

Gatti is my pick.....I think Gatti was more complete....people forget he was decent outboxing opponents (vs Branco)
Maidana is a good fighter in my humble opinion, but is a slugger without too much creativity

Interesting match up Burt. I think Gatti is quicker and a better boxer. Both big punchers and strong at the weight. Neither had much in terms of defence. Maidana has the better timing and set up his punches smarter, gatti with better technique

In terms of opposition at 140, Maidana has fought the better opponents (bar Mayweather), he's fought Khan, Ortiz, Morales and Kotelnik. They were all nearer prime (bar Morales) and overall better than Gatti's 140lb comp

Gatti beat Dorin early bodyshot of an undefeated lightweight who deserved to beat Spadafora in a LW unification. He beat a 38yo past it Leija who had just beat a super prospect in Bojado, his Ward trilogy and Gamache and Millet (ex titlist coming off a KO loss to Judah). Not bad wins but not great and he probably got them at the right time

I don't know who'd win to be honest, it's not a fight I'd bet on
