Both started their career at Super-Featherweight; how would have gone this at Light-Welterweight (were they were second-tier boxers/ top ten)?

One was a Jones- and the other a Mayweather-victim later.

I think Pazienza could win this by decision

at 140 he beat Haughen in their third fight and gave Roger Mayweather a pretty good fight, losing a UD in a title shot.

Two guys who were magician-like in their ability to make weight. Pazienza based on his stamina and solid chin.

This match-up would be interesting in Lightweight too, were they were around their peak.

I would go with Gatti. Hopefully by brutal knockout.

Could be a good little battle. I'll go with Paz by decision, out working Gatti but finding himself surprisingly on the floor at some point.

The lighter the weight the more I'd favor Gatti.

Good fight. Pazienza's macho-ness might cost him against Gatti's deadly power. Tough to pick.
