I think he deserves it, and I don't think I'm being too biased either.

I don't know if he accomplished enough in ring, but he sure gave enough...

In a better Hall of Fame, a guy like Gatti wouldn't get in. It takes a lot more than fan friendly entertainment to get you into Halls of other sports. It takes accomplishments... but this is the Boxing Hall of Fame where the rules are more lenient, and couple that with the fact that people get all sentimental and **** when people die young, and he's a shoe in for the Hall.

I would think he'd get in.

Today would have been his 39th B-Day. Would have loved to see him in the ring against Diego Corrales.

Sure I guess. One thing I do know if a HOF was composed on just heart and fame then of course Gatti would deserve to get in. He was never great but pretty good and had boxer-type skills but just elected to brawl mostly. I still am one of those guys that don't think Bowe & Norton deserve to go but that's me. Gatti gave his all in the ring and as far as "fame", he had it. Impossible not to respect his grit but if the HOF was strict as it should be then Gatti would not get in.

    Happy B-day & R . I . P . Gatti

I wish most guys had the heart you did. It sucks seeing guys like Dirrell, Cintron, Alexander, and Dawson that don't come to fight and bring more shame to the sport.

Gatti IS going to the hall and I hope he went to a better place. Life sucks lol.

If it was up to what criteria I consider to be 'HoF', no. But the way things actually are, does he get in? I think so.

Why not? It's the hall of fame, not the hall of greatly skilled fighters. Gatti brought more interest to the sport than most fighters of his era. He sacrificed and suffered more in the ring than probably any fighter for our entertainment. Of course he deserves to get in. Sylvester Stallone got in for ****s sake

He was in fight of the year 3 times, how can you be in that many fight of the years and not be in the HOF. Obviously he made a huge impact with the fans.

Incidentally Ward had 3 fights of the year and Ali 6 which is pretty insane.

He might not belong in a Hall of Talent, or a Hall of ATG-ness...

Given that it's worded "Hall of Fame", and given some of the names in there...yeah, he's in (and ought to be).
