I just looked up Porto de Galihnas , this place is absolutely BEAUTIFUL, not exactly the place you would expect to hear news like this happening. Sounds sketchy, his wife having something to do with it sounds like a possibility but we will have to wait I guess. A 1 yr old boy grows up without dad, now that is heartbreaking, not being able to hear the stories from his dad about his battles/struggles, sad.

RIP Arturo. For those of too young for Lamotta and Graziano, we had Gatti.

I am pretty sure that Gatti was arrested a few months ago for assaulting his wife... who was his girlfriend at the time. They just got married and was on their honeymoon when he was killed. I won't be surprised at all to find out this was a domestic dispute that went too far.

This really sucks... I was a big fan. Then again... who wasn't?

I don't know how well Gatti came through all the wars he had been in . Suffering multiple concussions changes a person and not for the best.

His wife and him were having marital troubles it was reported ... so obviously she will be questioned by the police.

Such a sad day for boxing fans , he might have given too much in the ring but he will be long remembered. Still hard to believe he is gone ... damn

That seems to be one of the two prevalent theories. One is he was killed in a hit by his wife for his money. The other is it was a bad domestic issue and she defended herself. Regardless there's a one year old kid whose eventually screwed in this whole situation.

I believe that he was struck in the back of the head. My guess is that after a heating argument, fight, ect.... she attacked him with something from behind. Just a hunch.

Right..or maybe someone else was there, heard them fighting, "bam there ya go" in the words of Ian Darke and boxing loses another warrior.

You really can't tell yet until the important details come back. Stuff like whether Gatti was drunk, reports on his temperament from the bar etc etc.
