Let's see: * Marquez * Bradley * Cotto II? * Cintron? * Mike Jones Possibly something like this, with a potential tweak or two (maybe Alvarez and/or Ortiz? Martinez?). I don't think the Floyd fight will ever happen.
Im not saying he deserves it, but he could be good in a few years. I have been saying that since he rematched soto karass, I couldnt give a **** about what bob arum says, if he doesnt end up fighting pacquiao thats fine by me as well, i just think he is a boxer with decent potential in a few years, I dont get why youre acting like im saying mike jones should be next instead of floyd, for all we know kell brook will end up the most credible opponent in a few years.
I'm sure that's what Arum hopes (and I guess most of us fans), but he's not the one to make that decision. There is probably alot of pressure on Pac to stop boxing in order to concentrate fully on his congressman duties and responsibilities. After Marquez and Mayweather, there will be no-one left to add to his legacy or bring the big paydays, besides maybe Martinez. I doubt he goes more than two or three more fights.
Pacquiao had 3 more fights left 5 fights ago, didn't he? They always say this **** to try to bait people into buying the PPV "that might be his last!"
how do the people in his country mind him fighting twice a year, is there a lot of pressure on him to retire and become a fulltime congressman?
I hope not because the fight won't live up to anywhere near expectation as in four fights time they both will be past their best. Either it happens next May or doesn't happen at all!
whoa...mike jones??? pac isn't ready for that kind of fight yet. sure he has a few good wins over Cotto, mosley, and margarito but pac should stay away from a beast like mike jones.
November 2011 - Juan Manuel Marquez March - May 2012 - Floyd Mayweather September - October 2012 - Saul Alvarez Febuary- March 2013 - Brandon Rios November 2013 - January 2014 - Mike Jones ( If he proofs more ) Kell Brook ( If he proofs more ) Timothy Bradley as a sub. :hat
No, last one should be Sergio Martinez. It would be the finest challenge in boxing. I mean, sure, Sergio would look like a bully fighting a smaller man at 160, but I don't really care about his legacy. Pacquiao could do something special if he wins against Sergio, which I think he absolutely can.
I like Pacquiao but I really don't care. As long as he is with Arum, I care not to buy a PPV. Manny seems to be a naïve puppet of Arum's
